System Implementation
The implementation portion of the Riordan project could in fact, prove to be one of the most challenging parts. However, this could be the part that is worth all of the effort. There will have to be a team of experienced developers in various different Information Technology fields to see the implementation portion stage through to completion; this cannot be known as a “one-man show.” Several of the departments within the Riordan organization will have to be given priorities when it comes to implementing the new human resource management system. Since this type of system has been deemed automated and is on an Information Technology platform, the

Documentation
As with any end user product, any support documentation that has been given should be included. The team will then need to hire a technical writer and have them come in to see the system up and running. After this, the writer will then work closely with the development team in order to complete a new HRIS user manual for the system. Also, to be included with this, there will also be supplied electronic documentation on the system as well; this will be added after the 30 days of testing has been completed. There will also be live support for any questions or concerns during this time to make sure that everything is addressed.
Support
Since the development team has decided to purchase the Microsoft HR system, Riordan now has access to a very successful end user resource support system. Riordan has agreed to an extended amount of support, both through our development team and Microsoft. The initial maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of the software will actually be handled by the Microsoft team. However, if there are any hardware or coding issues that come about, we will be handling the support. With the extended support, HR employees have the ability to be in contact with: telephone support, live chat support, remote desktop support, and interactive demonstrations of the system. Riordan Manufacturing has also agreed to hire an in-house
Hugh McCaughley, Chief Operations Officer of Riordan Manufacturing has requested a new system for the Human Resources department of their company which would be implemented and utilized at three plant locations and the company headquarters. To build the new human resources system properly, information must be collected from various areas of Riordan Manufacturing, and the information will be collected in a variety of ways. This information must then be used to determine such items as scope of the project which can allow for feasibility studies to ensure the system should be implemented,
Now that we have taken a look at the minimum required hardware and software of the ADP system, let’s examine ADP as a Human Resource Information System, or HRIS for short. A great HRIS system provides critical data about the human resource function of the business as well as helping to create a follow through on the business’s mission and goals. HRIS systems help to reduce organizational costs by contributing to the efficiency of the human resource management function. HRIS systems help to automate critical human resource management functions (Chauhan, Sharma, & Tyagi, 2011, p. 58). HRIS systems contain information on employees, job and work conditions, positions, payroll and benefits, and HR events such as recruitment, training, development, performance appraisals, and terminations (Chauhan, Sharma, & Tyagi, 2011, p. 59). Although ADP offers all of these features, Federal-Mogul utilizes ADP specifically for the payroll and benefits function.
Human Resource managers, and other key personnel, now have full access to the HRIS system. They will spend a quick week in their own training, acclimating themselves with the quirks of the system and becoming comfortable with common tasks. After this week has passed then a full, company wide training will take place, with the goal of accomplishing two tasks. First, to inform employees of the new HRIS system and some of it’s key features. Second, to set expectations among employees of what their responsibility and interaction with the new system will consist of. A brief mention of some of the high level
Challenges: Although it has highly integrated payroll partnerships, it is the only vendor in this evaluation to not offer payroll administration as a native part of its application. Corporate wide training and cultural adjustments will be required to get employees, managers, and HR professionals collaborating through the

Compatibility and communication are the last two factors to consider. Each branch 's HR department will require a particular method of communication between the other branches. Compatibility with existing intranet protocols are considered necessary. The varying degree of equipment between each branch will be deemed compatible with multiple platforms to be best employed by each HR department branch office.
There are several stakeholders at Riordan Manufacturing to gather requirements from to provide a clear picture of the final project. The first stakeholder to gain input would come from the Chief Operations Officer, he was the requestor of the system upgrade, is responsible for the budget, which includes payroll. The Chief Legal Officer oversees the legal aspects of the human resources programs. The individual human resources managers within the individual facilities are the stakeholders who recruit and handle benefits for employees. Each facility has an accountant that oversees payroll and bonuses as well as the payroll specialist (Apollo, 2011).
Riordan Manufacturing is a large company with facilities in several locations around the world. Riordan Manufacturing is an international plastics manufacturer that currently employs 550 people and operates at around $46 million in sales("Riordan Manufacturing", 2013). As a result of its size, Riordan must have a system that is able to keep track of important information such as employee names and other confidential data. This information should be able to be accessed from other locations as well as the home office. There are other functions that a new and improved HR system could benefit such as inventory tracking or the shipping or reception of products. These

None of the locations have secure systems in place to handle the necessary duties. Pay scales are varied so maintaining and organizing them is complicated and hand written, and then entered into the system by a payroll clerk at headquarters. Records for training and development are being kept on an Excel spreadsheet and stored in an insecure place by the training and development professionals. Recruiters are maintaining their own application information with resumes filed in a central storage area and applicant status tracking is recorded on Excel spreadsheets. There is no central file area for employee files. The managers responsible for tracking FMLA absences and requests under the ADA keep their own individual files. The compensation manager keeps records of job analyses, salary surveys, and individual compensation decisions on an Excel spreadsheet. Employee relations specialists keep track of complaints, grievances, harassment complaints, etc. in locked files in their offices (Apollo Group, Inc. 2011).

There are two purposes that HR technology serves in an organization. The first is to improve the efficiency of employee data and HR activities collection. At Xerox, the use of HR technology has been instrumental in making HR services more accessible to their workforce. The second purpose of HR technology is to capture a greater degree of informational data that enables HR planning and managerial decision making. Again, Xerox made use of this aspect by supplying intranet employee surveys and tracking employee views on the company and HR. The
