Short Story Of A Hillsborough Middle School

One day in Lindley Middle School there were two girls in Mr. Foreman’s classroom and their names were Anazia Maisonet-Snell and Lanecia Hayward. So as they were just sitting in class doing their work Lanecia decided she was going to take Anazia’s pencil case because her pencil broke and when Anazia saw Lanecia took her pencil case Anazia said, “Give me back my pencil case” and Lanecia didn’t which made Anazia very upset. Then Anazia got louder because she knew that that would make Lanecia give back her pencil case. Since Lanecia gave Anazia back her pencil case Lanecia didn’t bother trying to take it again.

Alexandra Robbins in chapter four of overachievers, has said throughout the chapter that students cannot cope with so much school related stress that it affects their mental health and general well-being. She does this by addressing the concerns of the students that she has been following that results in stress. She emphasizes students lack of sleep that ultimately affects their attentiveness at school. She also includes the effect of No Child Left Behind and how school practices have transitioned into focusing on america’s testing culture than the pursuit of creativity from students. She claims that cheating is on the rise and is becoming a standard practice within students because it helps relieve the pressure that students get buried in. Skeptics would disagree with her arguments of students’ unhealthy school relating stress by pointing out that students have their own right into what they choose to participate and how well they want to excel in a classroom and if it's too much they can stop. But like AP Frank and many other students across america including myself; parents force their children to achieve higher, And creating the image that they aren’t good enough or they won't get into college. And one thing I can strongly agree on is the lack of sleep that really creates stress!

The warm breeze blows past me as I open the door to the Sweetwater Middle School. Shouts and hoots of excitement about the New Year came from behind me as I speak amid my social circle. It was going to be a wonderful year with delightful students and teachers. By the end of the year I knew to have been mistaken to think it would work out for me.

I went to the same elementary school from kindergarten to 5th grade, Suncoast Elementary School. My brother, my sister and I all went to Suncoast Elementary school from k-5th. My sister is still in elementary school, but once she gets out she’ll either go to Gulf Coast or Powell. My brother, my sister and I all had the same kindergarten class room but always had a different teacher. At that school my brother would hang out with the people in the office often so when I got there they all knew my name and was extra nice to me. This is only about my experience from kindergarten through 3rd grade.

Young, but driven, Jorge began dancing in the spring of his senior year at Sharyland High School. He was welcomed into Melba's School of Dance's family where he was introduced to ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and folklorico.

School is a crucial part of a person’s life due to the amount of knowledge and successability a person might gain in their future. School can also be a place where students can interact with their fellow friends, but for others it can be a traumatizing place due to the amount of stress and also responsibility they might carry . This can be because of the stress teachers may put on the students. This can lead to students not giving their full effort on school, which will cause them to be mediocre students, and they wouldn’t be able to show their teacher the true potential they carry within themselves. These types of students are the one’s who are typically the students that aren’t successful in school. They just don’t

I can still remember that day... Heart was beating real fast, palms were sweating, stumbling across my words and I honestly felt like the world was coming to an end. Starting over at a new school halfway through the year has got to be every kid’s nightmare. I went from a private to a public school which was the hardest switch of my life.

This plan took place in 8th grade year, I was a new student at Sunland elementary. It was around September when this event occurred. I learned to not try to impress others making bad decisions that could lead to big trouble.

We pull up to the May Wood County High School, my mom quickly drives off as I get out of the car. I turn to the building, not even two seconds after looking at it, a lady in black comes up to me and grabs my arm. "You need to get in the school before the bell rings young man!" Her voice was eerie in a sense. She dragged me into the building, standing there were tons of other students talking to their friends and socializing. The lady walks back outside to "greet" the other late students. I stand in the middle of the sea of students, not knowing what to do.
