The inside of the tent is bigger than I expected. Tables filled with maps are scattered everywhere. Armor and swords litter the corners. I scan the tent amazed. Movement catches my eye and I realize we aren’t alone. A man is sitting in a chair behind the biggest table in the tent. On the table is a map, my eyes skim over it but I do not recognize any of the land features. As the man stands up I study him. He is big, at least 6’5’’ with wide shoulders and a strong jaw. His eyes are green--just like Skye’s. The man’s hair is a deep brown and I get the impression that he could snap me in half without breaking a sweat. This man must be the General. “Skye,” the General’s voice is low and filled with anger. “You deliberately disobeyed my …show more content…
He says he walked through arched trees and ended up in the forest. He says he from someplace called Graystill Nawanda.” “Graysville, Nevada.” I cut in. Skye rolls her eyes. “Whatever.” she mutters. I glare at her and she glares right back. A laugh ends our silent contest. I turn back to the General and see he is smiling. “What?” Skye and I say at the same time. We look at each other surprised. The General just laughs even harder. “Dad? Are you okay?” Skye asks the worry clear in her voice. The General waves his hand, “I’m fine, I’m fine. Never better actually.” This whole conversation is starting to weird me out. “Soooo….um… Mr. General...sir I was wondering, um, there is a way for me to get home. Right?” “Please call me Gunter. As for your other question, yes. There is a way for you to get back to this, Graysville Nevada.” He pulls out two chairs. “Sit, sit.” I glance over at Skye, but she is already sitting down. Her arms are crossed and she’s staring at her father with a strange expression. I take the seat next to her and the General sits down across from us. The General looks at me, “There is a story among our people of another place--another world, actually. People live there that are just like us, except they have alien inventions. Weapons that can kill from hundreds of feet, devices that watch your every move, and objects that can record your voice. We call this other world Reality.” I stare at the General completely stunned. He
“Get up you jarhead Zahltag idiot. You in my tree..” She says. A tank pulls up and duke gets out. She walks over and starts hitting him a lot.
“What? Nothing of the sort has happened, but you seem to have knowledge of this war. What is that from?”
"Then let's not stay here for long, because now they know we are here." Says Corvo as he draws his sword.
“I hadn’t considered that, but I don’t know that I have the authority to order the Marines to escort me to Fredericks.”
“Yes, I’m here. Well, no I’m not here I’m here but I don’t know where here is. I’m lost.”
“Hey Mark, finally got off my piloting shift, Galan said he was next on the calendar.” Franklin said in a friendly tone.
The General jumps off. He looks at the woman in purple, “The fifth regiment is coming home with the spoils from the highlands. We should get back soon to greet them.”
“I’ll have 6 eggs, a big glass of orange juice, a banana, and some oatmeal please” said DeSean “ You’re one crazy kid” said the female bartender at IHop. “Yes ma’am, I might be crazy ,but ready for football this morning” DeSean responded swiftly. The bartender responded almost immediately saying “Damn right, hope you do well this morning, I’ll have that food out real quick honey”. DeSean waited for less than 5 minutes before chowing down on over 1000 calories. He exchanged some words with the bartender and he was off to football.
“I guess she must.” He turned to face her, slowly, and then he actually did laugh, shaking his head at her, from down the barrel of her gun. “You look
“Um, if you want to follow me, sir, I’ll see to you getting back to the command and control room,” Sergeant Barnes added moving the conversation along. “I’m sure you’re going to be needed there.”
“Commander Winters, wait what are you doing?” I say, but he can’t hear me over the screams of those in the crowd who’ve noticed, the soldiers on top of the buildings.
“Yes, we can see that sir. That’s all we needed to ask you can go back home.”
Gwaine walked inside and set up at the dining table, whipping out his belt dagger and carving up the meat. "All yours! But I need a little more light in here. And while you're at it, start talking about that woman."
He pulled out a map from under the table and unrolled it. “This is where we need to go.” he pointed to the docs. “and this is where we are” He pointed to a place by the river. “We will have to take a shortcut through the woods, under the bridge, in the river and get past the Taliban to use the boats.”
"Please Father, it will be my honor to escort you to the Abbey. I only ask that you be mindful of my daughter. She cannot sit still for a moment." It was settled and the monk stepped up and sat next to Eva. She was thrilled.
