The inside of the tent is bigger than I expected. Tables filled with maps are scattered everywhere. Armor and swords litter the corners. I scan the tent amazed. Movement catches my eye and I realize we aren’t alone. A man is sitting in a chair behind the biggest table in the tent. On the table is a map, my eyes skim over it but I do not recognize any of the land features. As the man stands up I study him. He is big, at least 6’5’’ with wide shoulders and a strong jaw. His eyes are green--just like Skye’s. The man’s hair is a deep brown and I get the impression that he could snap me in half without breaking a sweat. He says he walked through arched trees and ended up in the forest. He says he from someplace called Graystill Nawanda.” “Graysville, Nevada.” I cut in. Skye rolls her eyes. “Whatever.” she mutters. I glare at her and she glares right back. A laugh ends our silent contest. I turn back to the General and see he is smiling. “What?” Skye and I say at the same time. We look at each other surprised. The General just laughs even harder. “Dad? Are you okay?” Skye asks the worry clear in her voice. The General waves his hand, “I’m fine, I’m fine. Never better actually.” This whole conversation is starting to weird me out. “Soooo….um… Mr. General...sir I was wondering, um, there is a way for me to get home. Right?” “Please call me Gunter. As for your other question, yes. There is a way for you to get back to this, Graysville Nevada.” He pulls out two chairs. “Sit, sit.” I glance over at Skye, but she is already sitting down. Her arms are crossed and she’s staring at her father with a strange expression. I take the seat next to her and the General sits down across from us. The General looks at me, “There is a story among our people of another place--another world, actually. People live there that are just like us, except they have alien inventions. Weapons that can kill from hundreds of feet, devices that watch your every move, and objects that can record your voice. We call this other world Reality.” I stare at the General completely stunned.
