She could have never imagined this much destruction. Destruction she had caused. Pain she had caused. How did Elena Gilbert, most caring and understanding friend become this? A monster. A soulless demon consumed by…what? Anger? Hate? Hunger? No…it wasn’t justified, it wasn’t something that could be excused. She was drunk…intoxicated by lust. Lust was a driving force and Elena had no idea that humanity was the key to controlling it until it was gone. Until she had begged for it to be gone. It had been Damon that had been her solstice, he had delivered the kiss of death to Elena’s human side. A relief from the pain of this world. From the hurt, and the guilt. Jeremy was gone, Aunt Jenna was gone…her parents, both sets, all gone. Elena was constantly bombarded with their memories. With every step she took, even as a vampire, Elena knew her heart was breaking…until it was broken. Too broken to repair, so she asked for something else. An escape, a way out. If Elena had to live with them dead, she’d forgo the emotions. After all, what was being a vampire for if she couldn’t turn off the one thing that hurt her the most in life? …show more content…
Quicker than blinking and better than anything Elena had ever felt before. She had power. She wasn’t afraid, she was the predator and everyone else around her was the prey. The prey that Elena could decide if she wanted to dispose of our not. The power filled her up, confidence overriding any form of stabilized thinking. The killing was something Elena now felt conditioned for. Like she had been made to destroy humans, watch that special light leave their eyes, their chest heave that one last breath. To an everlasting darkness that Elena, herself, would never have to experience. She got to live forever and others would pay for her life…they’d give their own and the blood would rest upon her opened
It provides the audience with a sense of the character’s personality, while also captivating the attention of the audience through the tone in which the characters are communicating. In ‘Like Water for Chocolate’s case, dialogue is used effectively to convey Mama Elena’s attitude, often annoyance or anger, towards her daughters, especially Tita – sparking the rebellion within Tita. Mama Elena has the belief that Tita doesn’t “have an opinion” (14), repressing Tita’s opinions and choices. Despite her cruelty towards Tita, Mama Elena protects her ranch from the soldiers through threats that she “can shoot [them] before they can kill [her]” and warns them she has “a very good aim and a very bad temper” (81). This can be seen as a contradiction of the feminist idea of the novel as Mama Elena is depicted as being above the soldiers rather than equal to them; however, it can also be said that Mama Elena was simply protecting the ranch, so she had no choice but to do so. It also shows how powerful Mama Elena is, since she was able to threaten the “captain” with her abilities. The conversation amongst the characters reveals their personality as well as the occurring events, developing the audience’s
It had started so simply. Twenty one year old Ludwig Beilschmidt had been sitting in the cafeteria with his friend, Arthur Kirkland, the conversation having, once more, taken an incredibly odd turn.

Bella reached for the girl, but she couldn’t make sense of the world past the cracks of her sunglasses. Crimson blood was everywhere, on Bella’s shirt and pants and the red flesh of her open arm. And there was crying that wouldn’t stop, not even when Bella woke
I had held on longer than any of our kind. I held on because I had faith in the old stories." she explained softly, "But with all that holding me back I wasn't strong enough to face her. I tried, I tried so hard and in the end it was never enough." she took a breath and touch the scar on her chest, "She wanted my heart, to add to her growing collection apperently. But the moment she reached for it I knew it was over. So I turned it all off, like flipping a light switch inside of myself. And..." she paused and took a breath her hands gripping hold of Dominic a bit harder, "I killed her, I ripped her apart like it was nothing and tossed her remains into the sea. I gave up everything just to kill her." the admition hurt every bone in her body, and she couldn't look up
The man felt that the taste of Eisbock, which was an overwhelming aroma of raisin, banana, clove, and chocolate, had lingered on the tip of his tongue for hours. The aftertaste could be real, or it could be imaginary. All this man knew was that even a barrel of Berliner Weisse with green syrup could not help rinsing down this sickeningly sweet tasting alcohol in his mouth, because he already did so without much success. The brief shower only ended a moment ago, and the water drops continued falling from the rusted ceiling above. He could barely open his eyes, but he sensed the moisture and lifted up his head with difficulties, eagerly catching the droplets with open mouth. Licking to catch the liquid that trailed down
Thinking about the people she killed scared her to the bone. She tried to hide her real personality, her weeping of Skjor. Her werewolf urges that’ll come every day. Her possession of you got the best of her, not sure how to stop it.
Her personality had also morphed into something twisted and dark as a result of her
So while Anne Rice wasn't the first to write about vampires, she introduce a lot of new characteristics. Before her the most popular vampire in fiction was Dracula. Vampires back then were seen as these "other" creatures, as villains. But with Rice, the narration changed and while we still see them as "others" and different, we sympathize with them. Instead of them being the villain of the story like they are in Dracula or in Carmilla,
After they told the plan, Joan the witch secretly hypnotized the guards and they snuck inside the castle. Once they got inside the castle they snuck around trying not to get caught by anyone. Once they finally reached Grunk’s room they confronted him and arrested him. Once it was finally over they left the manor for good to live without working and worrying about Grunk. What they realized was that when Grunk was young he was always bullied and kicked. He hated it so much that he would find a chance to do it on someone and once he got the manor he decided to be mean to all of the peasants. They decided to release him, and a new lord took his place. “Finally”, Peter said.”There is now peace and prosperity throughout the manor.” He had hoped
She jumped into her bed with delight and turned on Vampire Diaries. It was her favorite show to binge watch, she never got tired of the plot of characters even though it was poorly done. Before she knew it she had fallen asleep twenty minutes into the first episode, she drifted off slowly dreaming of nothing.
I had witnessed an innocent young boy, turn into a vampire. Everything that I hated about Niklaus and everything I used to hate about myself – the bloodlust, the way I could only see humans; as a source of food, the heightened emotions which used to make me unbearable. Having spent my early days with Niklaus made me lose my human side. Not only because of his influence on me, but also because he simply did not want me to hold on to it. When I had fled to Mystic Falls, the Salvatore brothers and Emily had rekindled
It was all too amusing to finally have found someone worthy of her challenge. It had been so long since she’d truly been struck, even if it had been by a blade. Most men lacked the true ability to hunt a woman, less even to attack one. The way he so ruthlessly charged toward her was intoxicating. Lena could feel the need for blood, far more than most. Not only could she feel it, but she could relate to it. A hint of a playful smirk took form over her lush lips as she observed the way his hair fell unevenly and in many directions. The assassin appeared dishevelled, more so than she did, in some ways. Which was only proving to further amuse the woman as she disappeared from his view. There was something about him that intrigued her; but Lena wasn’t exactly sure what that was, specifically. Sure, he was handsome as much as she could see, he was clearly in his prime, but no, neither of those was it.
blood, it definitely seems like the vampires would devour her. However, they don't. A few days later,
One of the things that makes The Vampire Diaries a good drama show because of it’s complex characters. A drama should have complex characters because it keeps the show going and it keeps it interesting. Elena Gilbert is one of the most important complex characters on the show. One of the things that makes Elena one of the most complex characters is because she falls in love but not with just anyone. With a vampire (Stefan Salvatore ), and his brother (Damon Salvatore). Elena is a complex character because she must deal with high school, her current boyfriend being a vampire, and even becoming a vampire herself. She must deal with Katherine her doppelgänger who is also a vampire that tries to sabotage Elena’s life and her relationship with Stefan in the beginning. That doesn’t stop her from trying to interfere Elena’s relationship with Damon as well. Stefan is also another complex character because he has a soft spot for Elena even after they split up because they still love each other “as friends”. Stefan was also the ripper in the 90s, he stopped ripping in the
