Sandra Sanchez is a vice principal for Los Santos High School. She has been approached by the principal of Los Santos and the superintendent to head up a pilot to implement the Common Core standards. Sandra was selected given her experience with the bilingual makeup of the district, and her work on her PhD in assessment. In addition the district had decided to bring in an outside design consultant, Vincent Peters, to assist Sandra in developing the training courses and assessment that will be used in the pilot at Los Santos. Given these dynamics it is apparent that the client is the Los Santos High School. It could be debated that Sandra is the client, but since she will be assisting in the full design process of both the training and the assessment she falls more into the designer classification. Vincent’s role is solely the designer of the training and assessment he will just have support from Sandra in doing so.

The first responding officer begins the investigation immediately upon receiving the call from dispatch. It is important that the officer makes note of the information given from dispatch. The circumstances of the initial call determine the speed of the response as well as whether the responding officer uses lights and/or siren. If the suspect in the homicide is still in the area, the officer would probably not use siren and only use emergency lights as needed unless the suspect is a threat to others. The purpose of a silent response is to arrive with the highest degree of surprise possible, in order to possibly catch the suspect or suspects before they leave the area of the crime. If the suspect is a threat to others or than a siren may be helpful in deterring further violence. Other factors to consider in response are; the distance, traffic density, and timing of the reported homicide. Safety is the number one concern for the responding officer. That includes safety of the public as well as personal safety. One death should not turn into multiple

Google means “to search” and now in days it can be used for browsing, personal computing, email, and broadband networking (Krazit). Years ago when internet and Google did not exist students actually went to the library to not only study but to get and look through books. The community-as-partner model includes eight subsystems with the community core, which represents the people, in the middle. The model starts with an assessment first. Prairieville, Louisiana, is a small town east of Baton Rouge. It is located in Ascension Parish along with a few other cities. Prairieville does not have its own police department; therefore it is run by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Jeffrey F. Wiley participated in an interview and answered multiple questions regarding the safety and protection of Ascension Parish. A windshield survey was also conducted, which helped to observe the community and how it is perceived through the eyes of visitors. Research was completed on these components in order to have concrete details, which support the sheriff’s interview. After the interview, windshield survey, and research were accomplished, the assessment data was analyzed, and conclusions were drawn about Prairieville, which will be presented.

The Department of Homeland Security released the 2014 Quadrennial Homeland Security Review on June 18, 2014 as required by the Homeland Security Act of 2002 and its amendments. This review outlined the current state of preparedness, as well as the future areas of concentration. It also determined six strategic challenges facing the nation: terrorist threat; growing cyber threats; biological concerns as a whole; nuclear terrorism; transnational criminal organizations; and natural hazards. The basic building block of emergency management in the U.S. is the local community. Each step begins here. Threat assessments are completed on the local level. Planning, mitigation, and response are all responsibilities of the local community to support the state and Federal practice using the guidance provided by both.

() In general, architect call ‘Conventional Architecture’ product, nevertheless ‘Community Architecture’ represents the process rather than the product and most proponents claim that the built product of ‘Community Architecture’ is often better than the product of conventional architecture. “Community architecture means that the personal who inhabit it are involved in and may even be instigators of, its creation and its management as well. The inhabitants are the clients; and the architect works for, or at least with them--in contrast to the typical situation where architects and user never meet.” () The ‘ community architecture’ was the newly invented notion that user participation in the environment is more important than any of another architectural concept, especially in contrast to ‘conventional architecture’. The reasons of that could be limited resources, materials and
