My plan for a post-high school education is to attend the University of South Dakota. While attending, I will be engaged on attaining my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a pathway to Occupational Therapy. During my sophomore or junior year of my undergraduate studies I will apply for acceptance into the Occupational Therapy program. Once I am accepted I plan on attending the University of South Dakota for another three years to complete my graduate studies.
High school course work has assisted my plans to secure a post-high school education by teaching me responsibility, and a good work ethic. Throughout high school, I took classes that would help me get a basic understanding of what my college courses would be like. For example,
In the first place, high school courses are too lenient compared to a college or job. While in high school, it’s easy to breeze through the work without too much struggle or labor. Students are even given several opportunities if a deadline is missed or if extra credit is needed. The result of these actions can cause a difficult transition into the “real-world” where they will be held accountable and expected to finish a job or turn a piece of work in on time. Also, employers will require the job to be done with more than just minimum effort or halfway finished.
My last few years of high school, I have thrived on challenging myself academically. I will graduate this May with not only a high school diploma but also twenty-two college credits. My senior year I completed nine college credits the first semester and I am currently taking six college
Throughout high school, I have challenged myself both in the classroom and out in my community. By taking the honors classes, while participating in as many extracurricular activities as I can, I have learned the importance of balance and commitment. My school offered many dual-enrollment courses with conjunction to the local community college as well as Seton Hall University. These classes prepared me for the rigorous workload of college classes, while giving me the opportunity to earn college credits as a high school student. In addition to the dual-enrollment program, I have taken several AP classes that too transfer to college credits. I always challenged myself to take the upper-level courses because I want to be as prepared as I possibly
My life has been an ongoing stuggle, but my hard work, determination, and enthusiasm for my education have enabled me to pursure my dreams. My academic plans are to major in pre-occupational therapy. After graduating and completing the prerequisite, I plan to obtain a license in Occupational Therapy by attending OT School. Success does not come from a pay check. For me, helping and assisting others acheive their goals is the purest form of success. I want to travel and eventually settle down in my hometown. My overall career goal is to give back to the community that shaped me into the person I am. I am a hardworking-dedicated student, who focuses on my work, yet I have always enjoyed being involved in extracirricular activities. As you can see from my application, I enjoy sports and clubs. In the following year, I plan to get deeper involved
After high school I have strong intentions on moving forward with my education by going to college. By going to college I attend to further expand my knowledge in a field that I am interested in pursuing, so that I can
My major is Human Development. I am taking 13 units for this fall 2015, and volunteering at Horizon Cross Cultural Center where I can learn my skills and my experiences. My future plan is graduate in the Spring of 2017. After graduation, I plan to work full-time.
My academic plans are to major in pre-occupational therapy and minor in biology. After graduating, I plan to obtain a license in occupational therapy. I do not plan on leaving my home state. Eventually, I would be honored to contribute to the community that shaped me as a person.
In the fall of 2017, I plan to attend Indiana University Bloomington and double major in Exercise Science and Spanish. After I earn my bachelor’s degree, I plan to enroll in the Pre-Occupational Therapy Program and specialize in pediatrics, so that I can become a pediatric occupational therapist. My college plan will take a total of six years to complete, but I am more than ready to put in the hard work to accomplish my goal.
I have completed advanced Math, Reading, and Science courses in addition to the general required courses. In additional to my high school course work, I have also volunteered at the Chambliss Shelter, Erlanger Hospital, and the Annual Elementary Track Meet. Although I had a rough start at the beginning of my high school career, I have learned some very hard lessons that have matured me into the hard working student I am today.
My goals for after high school, is to got to Greenville Tech. I have different ideas of what I want to do for my career. I have a lot of plans after high school career-wise. My goal for sure, is to finish college, but there is so much to study,
During high school I also took community college courses. This program I attended was at Gateway Community College. This program has impacted my life academically and personally. High school was not much of a challenge anymore. This experience to be more knowledgeable than my peers. The opportunity I got gave the chance to view education from a different perspective. It also guided me through my first year of college. I believe that education is a important role in every child's life. I'm currently taking classes
To start I plan on going to post secondary school after high school to get my bachelors degree. I plan on majoring in finance and then becoming a CPA. I am still unsure what I want my minor to be but I’m pretty positive it will be in the business field. There were a lot of different things in my life that made me want to take this path. One of which is the financial situations of my parents. After my parents divorce, it came clear to me how important it is to go to college. My dad who went to college and got his degree has found great success. Whereas to my mother who decided to work after college struggled after the divorce to get everything together. She was changing jobs constantly trying to find one that paid more so she could provide
Time after time you hear about going to college; whether at work, family, friends, and even when you are in high school you might have been repeatedly told of how it can benefit you in the long run in regards to your future. They say a good education can take you far in life. Students in high school may still question the importance of a college education. In the world of today people find themselves asking, “Why is it important to go to college?” An important aspect of succeeding in today’s world is getting a better education, and it’s much more than just a degree - in college you also learn how to better prepare for assignments, perhaps one of the most important things you can get out of attending
Statistics probably show that there are more college graduates and high school graduates looking for work than ever before. The fact is that it is very difficult to find a job that pays a decent salary. I've been pounding the pavement looking for a job that paid enough to cover my bills for months. My former job was barely minimum wage, I wanted something better. I finally realized that I needed further career training. Everybody knows that the healthcare field is really hot. My first step was to check into health services administration programs in Chicago online. I found a few schools there with links to other information.
