Statement of Purpose for a Future in the Health Care Department

Tolerance and diversity are important to me as a future health care provider because everyone should have equal access to excellent health care, irrespective of his or her race, social class, religion, sexual orientation, political viewpoints or other beliefs and opinions. We should all have the same rights and we deserve to be treated with equal respect.

Examination of the types of database systems that are available and how health care facilities utilize these different types of databases is the topic of this report. Giving more detail on the different types of architecture of databases and data structure will follow.

I have had a passion for becoming a healthcare provider for children for quite a while (for a long time). Children are one of the most important individuals of society because they are the future and will one day be in charge of the world. Their health at a young age is indicative to how their health will be as adults. Childhood has a great effect on how a person turns out to be so I hope to help children I hope to use prevention and education to preserve and restore the health of my patients. My career goals are to prevent children from having to spend time in hospitals or in pain and to help them live out their life and dreams to the fullest extent. Children play a very large role in their families, and when a child becomes sick, the whole family becomes distressed. Pediatricians not only heal children, but they help and prevent a family from suffering. I love medicine and children, and I hope to combine these two passions by becoming a pediatrician.

It is important to understand the history of how the healthcare industry decided to embrace the use of computer databases. Typically healthcare was often the last to employ new technology; especially when it came to assembling and disseminating data. As a Director of HIM (Health Information Management) it would be beneficial to remember this as there will undoubtedly be some resistance when attempting to implement new and improved systems to track everything from patient outcomes and laboratory tests to prescriptions and medications.

I was nine years old when my family made the strenuous decision to come to America; with only a few clothes and barely any money, the pursuit of the American dream seemed more like a fantasy than anything else. Ever since I was young, I was drawn to the medical field. Looking back, it all appears as a nightmare now: a cold room, no electricity, and my parents imploring for the nurses help. Yet this nightmare was my first-hand experience of the detrimental effects of a limited health care. Growing up in a poor town in Albania, I faced minor health concerns, but it wasn’t until I got sick with a common cold that my life almost ended. The unsanitary hospital condition and the lack of medications were part of the sad reality I could not escape from. Thus today, it is my goal to make a significant contribution to the health of the future generations. My passion for the medical field combined with my determination on building and perpetuating an outstanding healthcare service, has led me to pursue a master’s degree in Health Administration

It is important to become nationally credentialed medical assistant for many reasons. The main reason is reassurance in the field or career. You go to school and get recognized for what you have learned and been trained on. By this not only will the health practice or coworkers you work for will be able to trust you fully on your responsibility as a medical assistant, but the patients will also be able trust you with their health. It will also help you feel more comfortable on performing the duties without being supervised at all times. Without a doubt employability and pay will also can play an important role. When listing your certification on your resume they will be higher chances of getting called for an interview and the pay will be higher due to the education or training you will have.

In an era that has long gone bye, machines have taken over the process of tracking an employee’s information. Thus HR will create an information specialist position(s) to input the information of an employee when he or she is first hired, then the computer will use that number to route information to the necessary programs for data storage. This business system will need to do all the tasks that once were done by the HR personnel.

My dream career would be a Medical and Health Services Manager. This is my dream job because I love the things they do. Medical and Health Services Managers could manage a whole facility or just a small are filled with a couple people. I can adapt to new rules and technology regulations. Medical and Health Services Managers need to be punctual when working.

Health information management involves the practice of maintaining and taking care of health records in hospitals, health insurance companies and other health institutions, by the use of electronic means (McWay 176). Storage of medical information is carried out by health information management and HIT professionals using information systems that suit the needs of these institutions. This paper answers four major questions concerning health information systems.

I found the job of a Public Health Administrator to be the most fascinating. I think this way because they get to go around the community and prevent diseases and they also get to promote health.

Healthcare has many different areas one can go into if interested in this field. I have chosen two that have always been an interest to me; Nursing (particularly registered nursing) and an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). Both jobs are very demanding and extremely important. Both are respected jobs and require a tremendous amount of caring for others.

A year and half has passed since I’ve completed my undergraduate degree. In this time, I’ve had a chance to reflect on my career goals. I am now ready to earn my MBA in health care management. With this degree, I will be able to accomplish my career goals and objectives. I plan to use my master 's degree to help me pursue a career in health care management. My career goal is to become a health care manager in one of my area hospitals. I’ve research the strategies needed to successfully complete a MBA program. I’m motived and fully prepared to start working on my MBA. I ecstatic to embark on this new journey

I am applying for the Master of Professional Studies in Technology Management (Health Information Technology) program at Georgetown University for the summer 2014 session, keeping in mind my future objectives of doing a PhD in Health Information Technology. My desire and enthusiasm for further study and research is motivated by professional goals and intellectual curiosity. I would like to pursue a career in the development of new Health-IT systems, especially remote monitoring technologies, technology-supported translation services, c and self-management tools through mobile technologies that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of information flow in a healthcare setting. Management as it relates to the health services realm requires a deep understanding of coordinating the delivery of healthcare. One must be able to utilize frameworks to recognize and develop solutions to challenges within managing healthcare. My desire to become a health services manager (HSM) spawns directly from this concept of identifying an issue and being able to present interventions and approaches to improve the overall quality of life for communities.
