When someone has a goal in life what will someone do to achieve it. I think a good fundamental building block is having a strong moral character. That you will do anything in your being of power to achieve that goal. Even if it means pushing through things that most people don’t want to do. For that is something I struggle with everyday for school. My goal for this year is to get all straight A’s though that is not easy task. Cause everyday after school my afternoons consist of homework, studying, and practicing my flute for band. There is one man who understood this way of thinking very well and was an inspiration to many while he was alive and even still to this day even after him passing away is still an inspiration. When most people (here in the US or anywhere else in the world) hear or talk about the United States, a common theme is living the “America Dream”. The “American Dream” is the idea that children will have a higher standard of living than their parents and in 1940, 92 percent of them did. The term “successful” is a universal term and applies different for every single individual because everyone has different levels of success, some are higher then others and there can be some barriers in the way. What is the importance of goals? Do goals help you plan out your future? Or possibly give you something to work for? To me goals provide a map of what I want to do, how I’m going to do it, and why I want to do it. Goals also provide a sense of accomplishment when you finally get to finish whatever you’ve been working towards. The need for goals in life is clear, because without goals, we wouldn’t get much done. Simply because of the fact that there wouldn’t be anything to work towards, and no structure to our future. One of my most important goals is to graduate college, to get a career in psychology. This goal is extremely important to me because of the fact that not many people in my family have even finished high school.

Out of the three goals, (Personal, educational, and professional) I chose two of the goals that I am focusing on and that is my personal and educational goals. For my personal goals, I want to create a big picture of what I plan to do in life. Then I want to break them down in order to reach my goals, then once I have them together, then I would start working on them to achieve them. For example(Specific and Measurable goals), I plan on finding a job that has great benefits and the best rate of pay, and one that does not require working on weekends(Monday-Friday only), and not working overtime.

You have to win it.” Ambition is a good thing because people should always work hard to do their best and achieve more. If people weren’t ambitious than they wouldn’t strive to achieve and be successful in life.

A: Giving people goals to reach gives them something to focus on and it challenges them to do their best. I also encourage them to continue pushing towards a goal no matter how hard it may seem to get. To help in the future, I need to learn how to teach people how to overcome their setbacks and find ways to help them when they get discouraged with the job.
