The book “Happiness Diet for Your Mind” argues that yes a proper diet and exercise will give you a better and healthier body but will it really please and sustain a good mental health? The author Timothy Anspach believes that in order for you to have control over your mind and body you must be in control of what stimulus you choose to indulge in. Just like the food you choose to eat which will influence your physical health, you will learn how to surround your mind and thoughts with positive stimuli which will then create a better mental state.
After reading the introduction and the first few pages of the text, I believe this book definitely opened my mind and research topic more to greater questions to ask myself and my audience.
The problem

I have learned the importance of eating a balanced diet, and have learned that when you eat a balanced diet your body receives the fuel it needs to manage your energy level. By researching nutrition value, I have also learned that what you're putting into your body( the foods you put into your body) can also greatly impact your mood, including the fact that what you eat has an impact on your brain, including the parts that regulate mood. I have learned that Foods rich in vitamins and minerals, such as fruits, whole grains and vegetables, have been associated with an overall lower risk of depression, as have foods rich in omega-3 fats, such as nuts, salmon and other fatty fish. Another things I have learned by performing this project is the importance of healthy food in order to maintain a healthy weight/body. I have learned that foods are important sources of mineral compounds and nutrients required for a healthy body. I have learned that nutrients in healthy foods also have vital nutrients that strengthen bones, muscles and tendons and regulate body systems such as blood pressure. I have also learned that these foods are also rich in fiber, which may reduce the risk of heart disease, obesity, and type 2 diabetes.
-My three main points are: Being mentally healthy is an everlasting and strenuous path to cross and accomplish. Emotional health is not just about being happy, but also about anxiety and how to manage it. Physical health not only improves your figure, but also your mental mindset.
addition to reading the book, I have learned several new things and also learned the authors

This book is an eye opener, making you look at things in a different way changing your views and perspective of things we thought were impossible or that they had no relationship at all. He incentives you to formulate the correct questions by questioning everything that you feel curious about. Just remember what a genius once said, "I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious."- Albert Einstein. Just remember how the book says
In the past few weeks, I have attempted to exercise at least 5 times a week, challenge myself by eating more fruits and veggies, drinking more water, eating more superfoods, and getting at least 8 hours of sleep at night. I also worked on overall improving my own wellness with more meditation, winding down at night before sleeping, and dumping the processed, unhealthy foods. At the beginning, I thought this would be simple, but as days passed, I soon realized how unhealthy my usual lifestyle is and how much better I was feeling focusing more on my health. From running a mile around the neighborhood to sleeping more at night, I saw an improvement physically and mentally.

One of the most popular New Year’s Resolutions is making it to the gym and shedding off those extra unwanted pounds padded on from the end-of-year holidays that encourage over-indulgence of delicious treats and tasty comfort foods. This and many other unhealthy habits can lead to depression, anxiety and a reduced sense of self-worth. What most people do not realize is that the temptations can be lessened by having a better understanding of their brain health and its power. “Everything you are and everything you do is controlled by your brain” (Sharpbrains, 2014). Luckily, there is still hope for all of us to improve and repair our brains.
