Heart Disease
Heart disease is many different conditions that can affect your heart in many different ways. Some of these conditions include blood vessel diseases such as coronary artery disease, heart arrhythmias. One other condition would be a heart defect you may have been born with such as congenital heart defect. Another name people often use to describe heart disease is cardiovascular disease. This term is about narrowed or blocked blood vessels. Symptoms for heart disease depend on what type of heart disease you have.

There are several types of diseases of the heart. However, no matter what these diseases are – congestive heart failure (CHF), heart attack, coronary artery disease (CAD), or any others – they still have similarities when it comes to their warning signs and symptoms. The symptoms of heart problems are very important because it will tell you that something is wrong, and there is something that you need to consult with your doctor about.
The cardiovascular disease defines conditions that affect the heart or blood vessels. Thrombosis, which emanates from blood clots, reduced blood flow to the heart, brain and the rest of the body. When fatty acids deposit in the artery, it hardens and narrows. These issues lead to stroke, coronary heart disease, aortic disease and peripheral arterial disease. Coronary heart disease occurs due to a reduced or blocked flow of oxygen-rich blood to the heart. It is a result of accumulated fats in the coronary arteries. Coronary arteries are a set of blood vessels that take blood to the heart. When they become narrow, the heart gets less of a supply of blood and oxygen causing chest pains, called angina or a heart attack, explains VanMeter &
Heart diseases also known as cardiovascular diseases are various conditions types that may interfere with the function of the heart. These condition types include atherosclerotic also known as coronary artery heart disease which is shown to affect arteries leading to the heart, the heart valve disease which affects the functionality of valves in regulating in and out of the blood flow to the heart. Cardiomyopathy affects the squeezing of the heart muscles. Arrhythmias also called the heart rhythm disturbances affects the electrical conductions. There are also heart infections which are resulted by structural problems of the heart which usually develops before birth. (Wedro)
Heart disease, also known as cardiovascular disease, is a condition in which the blood vessels can become either narrowed or blocked (BHL Center, 2015). Some examples of cardiovascular diseases are: stroke, heart attack, high blood pressure, and heart failure. Cardiovascular disease is
The heart disease is one of the killer diseases among the American women. The heart disease is a heart group disease and the heart's blood vessel system. The most common type of heart disease is the Coronary heart disease. The Coronary disease affects the human blood vessels in the heart causing a heart attack or the angina (Gregson, 2009). Angina is a type of condition whereby an individual experiences chest pains in case the heart fails to get enough blood. An individual usually experiences sharp pressing chest pains but sometimes the back, shoulders and arms are also affected. Some of the
Cardiovascular disease has reportedly been the number one disease killer for men and women in the United States of America. Every one out of four deaths is caused by heart disease in the United States alone (Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention). Heart disease refers to the different types of conditions and symptoms that can affect the one’s heart and its functions to the body (Mayo Clinic). Cardiovascular/Heart disease has many causes and conditions, prevention methods and symptoms, and treatment options.
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) refers to the dysfunctional conditions of the heart, arteries, and veins that supply oxygen to vital life- sustaining areas of the body like the brain, the heart itself and other vital organs. Since the term cardiovascular disease refers to any dysfunction of the cardiovascular system there are many different diseases in the cardiovascular category, and many of these diseases are strongly intertwined. Ischemic Heart Disease is the medical idiom for the obstruction of blood flow to the heart. It is usually due largely in part to excess fat or plaque deposits that narrow the veins that provide oxygenated blood to
The term heart disease covers numerous problems that affect the heart. The various diseases that fall under the umbrella of problems (arrhythmias); and heart defects you were born with [congenital heart defects]. They can affect the heart in several ways, but basically they disrupt the pumping action of the heart.
Throughout the US, heart disease is known as one of the most common causes of death. However, this disease is not narrowed down to just one disease. Heart disease describes a range of conditions that affect the heart. Diseases under the “umbrella” of heart disease include blood vessel diseases like coronary artery disease as the inner walls of arteries are lined with plaque overtime, and also includes arrhythmias and congenital heart defects which you’re born with. In addition to this different diseases associated with heart disease, heart disease is also known as “cardiovascular disease.” According to Mayo Clinic, “Cardiovascular disease generally refers to conditions that involve narrowed or blocked blood vessels that can lead to a heart attack, chest pain (angina) or stroke.” Unfortunately, uncontrollable factors such as genetics are some of the leading causes of heart disease, along with eating habits.
Heart disease, also known as the “silent killer”, is one of the most common causes of death worldwide, though many people live with this disease for many years without knowing it. Types of heart diseases include coronary artery disease, cardiomyopath, valvular heart disease, pericardial disease, and congenital heart disease. The most common type of heart disease is coronary artery disease.
Heart disease, also known as cardiovascular disease, is basically anything that affects or impairs the heart’s functioning in any way. It includes many different conditions of the heart. The conditions involve rhythm problems, heart defects that one is born with, blood vessel diseases, heart valve problems, infection of the heart, and heart muscle problems (Heart Disease, 2014). Usually all of these conditions can be treated with better and healthier lifestyle choices, such as diet and exercise. The heart is a very important organ to one’s body, and can be affected by many different conditions or forms of heart disease.
Myocardial Infarction is a blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle. Many people refer to Myocardial Infarction as a heart attack. Non-medical Individuals recognize the term heart attack over Myocardial Infarction. Three symptoms of a heart attack are tightness, pain in the chest, and shortness of breath. If people are having these symptoms it is likely that they are having a heart attack. Not everyone that has had a heart attack will have the same symptoms as other individuals. Everyone’s body acts in different ways. Symptoms can occur even before the heart attack takes place. If someone notices more than one symptom, that may mean you are having a heart attack or you will get one.
Women and the symptoms they experience before having an acute myocardial infarction (AMI) has had varying and unpredictable symptoms for decades. Women experience a range of symptoms compared to men who usually report classic symptoms such as chest pain. Though we know most of the symptoms men have preceding an AMI, symptoms experienced by women have not been explored as thoroughly. AMI symptoms have been difficult to identify in women, which has contributed to their misdiagnosis’ and uncertainties about whether to report their symptoms to their physicians. This research article concluded that while there may be uncertainties about whether or not prodromal symptoms lead to future events of AMIs, it has been determined that most women experience similar prodromal symptoms before an AMI. The researchers suggest that prospective longitudinal research studies be conducted to assert the link between prodromal symptoms and future AMIs.
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is caused by disorders of the heart and blood vessels, and includes coronary heart disease (heart attacks), cerebro-vascular disease (stroke), raised blood pressure (hypertension), peripheral artery disease, rheumatic heart disease, congenital heart disease and heart failure. CVDs are the number one cause of death globally.
Heart disease is common among dogs - almost as common as it is in humans. If you own a dog, and you have some concerns about your dog 's health, it is important to understand what type of heart disease complications your dog may experience, especially in response to infection, illness, diet, and lack of exercise. For many dogs the symptoms and complications of heart disease are similar to what you would expect to see in human symptoms. Heart disease in dog 's can be attributed to congenital complications as well. Typically, when your dog is young, you will want to have your dog evaluated to determine if there are any congenital complications that may pre-dispose your dog to heart complications early in life. When compounded by heart disease development, due to poor diet or other infections, your dog will typically show signs of poor tolerance for exercise, have some swelling around the stomach and may even show signs of weight loss. When evaluated, your dog 's veterinarian is going to listen for the presence of a gallop heart sound which is indicative of swelling in and around the heart. The gallop heart sound will be a sound that is similar to a third heart beat or echo and can typically only be heard with a stethoscope. Heart murmurs in dogs are also quite common and while they can, to some extent, be corrected with surgery, most dogs will live a long time with heart murmur. But, when heart disease is a concern, you will want to address the heart murmur issues as well.
