I am writing to you in hopes that I might persuade you to award me an extra 10 points to my semester average. I strongly believe that my great courage to pass the semester will alter you into offering those ten points. I absolutely need the ten points to pass the class, and I will convince you that I really need the points to pass this class. I realized that I needed the ten points when I went through my grades on parent portal, so I used that grade as my motivation to pass the class. Then I began to think to myself. What if the teacher never gave me this opportunity? What if I don’t get the points? Ever since you brought up the topic, I was satisfied to hear this. One complaint I have about getting the ten points is that we have to prove
Obesity is an increasing problem in the United States, in which “the incidence of obesity among adults in the United States increased by 50% per decade throughout the 1980s and 1990s” (Morrow, Heesh, Dinger, Hull, Kneehans, and Fields, 2016). The current statistics that describes college students as overweight and obese is overwhelming since “38.5%” (Silvestri, and Bonis, 2009) of students are in this category.
Royalton High School follows a 7 period day schedule, 50 minutes class periods, typically 5 days a week beginning at 8:15am and ending at 3:22pm. A regularly scheduled day consists of seven four minute passing periods and a 15 minute homeroom at the end of the day. Homeroom is not considered as a scheduled class, and even though it is not required, it is still beneficial to many students. The sole purpose of homeroom is to inform students of extracurricular activities, scholarships and college visits, the announcements, and reduce class absences.
I believe that Polk County Early College High School would be a great school for me because of smaller class sizes and more one on one opportunity with teachers. I feel that I thrive in that kind of setting because you can feel free to ask for help if needed, and it will be provided much more easily than in a larger class room. I also love the opportunity that the school provides to be able to earn college credits while attending high school. I am a very self motivated person and being able to complete work at my own pace would be significant. If I am working at my own pace I will be given the chance to work ahead and cover more material which is great. I think Polk County Early College would be the perfect school for me because I would be
Early College High School at Delaware State University is a place to save time and money, and earn up to at least 60 college credits in high school. If I were to describe ECHS in one sentence, I would say that they move very quickly, but are very helpful. Although this school is very helpful there is a downfall, that downfall is that they are unorganized. One thing that made my 9th grade year here at The Early College High School at Delaware State University more smoothly was that some of my teachers had a sense of humor which made the environment feel a lot more positive and it made me feel comfortable that this school isn’t severely strict. Attending Cross Creek Early College High School is interesting to me because I will be able to complete high school and some college courses at the same time. I have always dreamed of going to college and this is school will allow me to get a head start on my goals and ambitions. My goal is to be the first person in my family to attend and graduate from college with a bachelor’s degree. Here you need to explain your career goal or what you want to major in. It is my belief that Cross Creek Early College will provide me with the support to reach this goal and to let my other family members know that a college degree will allow me to be a productive citizen.
Throughout our lives, we will endure plenty of mistakes and take ownership of situations we did not mean to create. When asking the question ‘If you were to get one do-over in life, what would it be and why?’, my answer would be to attend an early college high school.
In 7th grade I was unfocused, unprepared, and childish. I didn’t know my grades would have an impact on my high school career. I thought everything that happened in middle school stayed in middle school so I focused on useless drama. I used to blame my C’s on bad teaching but now I realize I have no one else to blame but myself. I was the one coming to school unprepared to work not my teachers. Now I know all of my grades count. I have blossomed into a person I am proud of. This year I’ve made it my mission to actually pass not just get by. I now sit promptly in the front of the class and take notes. I focus on test scores and grades not drama that’s not even going to matter next week. I now know what’s important and what I should just leave
Junior High is a scary thought. You are little and going to school with the big kids. It wasn’t to bad after I got used to it.
Hi. I am Diamond Johnson. I’ve been attending HSS-High since seventh grade and now I am currently a junior. I think I am a good role model at Harmony because I’m a very outgoing person and I also play sports, so I show others that you can be an athlete and also be on A/B honor roll. I am the captain of the basketball team because I have good sportsmanship and Leadership skills. I always encourage my other teammates or help them in an area they aren’t good in instead of judging them. I don’t just associate with people in my grade level I am opened to talking to anybody just so that they know that they will always have a friend to talk to. At Harmony we the students tend to create our group of friends based on race but I try to hang out with everybody just to show them that Harmony is a diverse school for a reason, so use that opportunity to learn about each other. I also believe that being a role model is not just temporary because someone is always watching your every move to learn from you. Therefore, they cannot learn from bad examples so you should always do the right things behind closed doors.
Sophomore year had ended, and my summer had just begun. After a long wait to gain permission to go on a backpacking trip. My father gave me the approval. I took my love for the outdoors and began to explore it even more.
I am writing to you in hopes that I might persuade you to look more deeply into adding 10 points to my semester grade. I strongly believe that adding these 10 points will help me in the long run. The added points will help my grade overall so that I do not have to take the class again.
I am writing to you hoping that you would be persuaded on what I am about to say. I strongly believe that you should give me extra ten points on my semester grade average. Last year, I failed English III, but this year I am planning to pass this class this time. Trust me, I am tired of this class already just all I need to do is to pass this semester and graduate for my senior year.
I am writing to you in hopes that i might convince you to help me with my semester grade. I strongly believe i deserve an extra ten points on my grade because i've been trying to fix my mistakes from the last nine weeks and i'm trying to graduate early.
I am writing to you in hopes that you will add an extra ten points to my semester grade. I strongly believe that I deserve these extra points, for putting my hard work and effort into this first semester. With all the different assignments and short amount of time you have given my classmates and I, most of us tend to or try to turn it in on time maybe a little later depending on the assign work.
It has come to my attention that I am hardly failing this class; because of this, I am writing to you in hopes of persuading you to add ten more points to my average. Given that quiz that I seemed to have done really well on, my average is expected to increase slightly; adding an additional ten points would more than likely get me to a passing grade.
