Prior to taking the quiz I was extremely skeptical in regards to the accuracy of the Sokanu assessment. This whole idea that anyone can take a quiz and it will predict what you’re going to in life seems to good to be true. As I started the assessment , I realized due to the format, it was going to be a different experience. The ability to see your results as you took the quiz was amazing, it really kept my interest through all the questions. The results of my assessment were actually kind of frightening. I don't see myself as a perfect candidate for my major, but just by my answers it almost hit it right on the head. It chose chemistry as my major, which is not far off from my current choice, biochemistry. Even though I am a social,
With the purpose of determining whether my personality, interests, and values meet my premeditated career, I carried out the TypeFocus assessment accessible through Tyler Junior College’s Career Services. First, I created an account with TypeFocus. Secondly I was able to obtain a few tests that would assess my personality, interests, and values. Next, I went forward and completed each test. Each analysis prompted me to answer a series of questions pertaining to the subject of that particular assessment. These questions that I was asked during the assessments were very straight forward, and easy to answer. Then, after completing all of the assessments I continued on to view each of the results. As the assessment taker, I had a choice on how
Taking the personality test I was nervous to see what my results would be. I have taken many challenges like this before, ever since I was in middle school until now. My results came back pretty similar to the results and careers I’m interested in. The specific traits behind a career for an
My career assessment test turned out just the way I thought it would the results was very interesting. From the assessment test the results touched base in many areas for the career I’m interested in such as psychology. My test results are :
From the Survey we took, most of my scores were similar. I had a few low scores, a couple average scores and 3 higher score. My highest score in Agriculture, Food and natural resources which was an 11, is actually what I expected. I have always wanted to be a wildlife biologist and work with nature and animals, because
I have performed similar quizzes in the past and each have had similar results to the Holland Career Assessment. I have began to seriously consider going into politics after my time in the Navy is through. I want to have a positive impact on people around me and each of the jobs I have chosen can do just that. This kind of tool is great way to narrow different degree paths for potential college students and the earlier this kind of assessment is performed, the better. A young person can begin to tailor jobs or apprenticeships in different areas to eliminate careers that are not interesting. An adult can do the same thing when changing careers to find a new career that matches his or her personality. It is also important to know the different
The population I chose to focus on is college graduates deciding on what graduate program to apply to. Though some students already have a program in mind, many of us go through a myriad of emotions during undergraduate studies that we change our major two or three times. Many post grad programs now require an assessment exam before considering admission. Some of these exams include the GRE, MCAT, LSAT, and PCAT for medical school, law school and pharmacy school.
I also liked taking the assessments. The career assessments are a great assessment to take for ourselves and also for students who are looking to enter a career. It is great that the career assessment confirmed my beliefs that working as a counselor or in the education field matches my interest. I can’t believe that the unemployment rate is so high. I’m sure this class has prepared you to help the students with their career and college decisions. The websites were very helpful and I will be using them in the future. It was great working with you in this class.
I wasn’t shocked by the result, and I was expecting something along the lines. I love interacting with new people, because it opens up new possibilities. Meeting new people is like reading a book, and I can’t wait to crack the spine and discover their personality. My social personality is like its own person, and I expected to have I high score. My friends always come to me for help with their problems, and I always drop everything to help out. The Holland code was spot on when it gave me high marks for a social personality, and I agree with the results as well. I am glad about the result because if I would have scored low I would be taking the wrong major.
I took the assessment for the classroom and I do agree with the assessment results. I tend to have a high optimistic outlook on just about all aspects of life. I have experienced huge obstacles in life, and so now everything, I feel, is pretty easy to overcome, with the correct attitude. I know there is always a reason; if I can identify the issues, I can overcome them. I feel this assessment of me also speaks to a specific attitude I have about things or I can attribute it to my personal values.
The career pathway test that we took, made me realize that I have a lot more options for a career than I had been aware of previously. I may not go into any of them, but just knowing that I have other options makes me feel safe enough to ever consider changing my major. Even though the first career option may not be accurate for what I want to do, the other choices provided can get you thinking about other
I received the personality of ESTJ. The description of my personality seemed tp be pretty spot on. Although my chosen career of nursing was not on the list for my personaity type I still plan to persue this career. However, I did once consider becoming a business administrator. Overall I have mixed feelings about personality tests. The result from a personality test do not make me want to change my career pathway.
The results I didn’t expect were enterprising, performing arts, educational, social perceptiveness, and listening. I was shocked that one of the results was enterprising but I suppose the reason I had it was because I always try to do my best with anything even if I’m not good at it. Performing Arts was slightly unexpected because voice-acting falls into the category of performing arts. Social perceptiveness was an unexpected choice, but I assume the reason I had it as a characteristic was because I am aware of others around even if my not conscious about it. Finally, listener was an unpredicted choice because I’m a bad listener however in order to be social you have to balance talking and listening. The majors I didn’t expect to be selected
My scores were sequence 27, precise 27, technical 28 , and confluence 25. I do feel that this a good fit for me for the time being. I've spent six years learning how to work with my hands and letting my mind have a creative flow to how I work. This career field has shown what I can and can not handle and I'd like to think that I can handle it all. I've grown as a person because there has been many obstacles in my way of career progression but I've overcame them
At the end they give you a review of why you got the results you do and my description was, “According to your responses, you are generally the type of person who believes in the goodness of humankind. You give nearly everyone the benefit of the doubt (at least until proven wrong), and will often accept what people say and do at face value instead of making conjectures about their motives…. you’re fairly trusting and accepting nature is refreshing, and likely provides you with a much more balanced and upbeat perspective overall” (Psychology Today). Some of the questions that they asked me were if my friend had needed money what would I do after previously lending them
I learned plenty of things from my results. My values-which I didn't see clearly-are now clear, and I found out the little unique things that make up my personality. From my personality survey, I am mostly artistic,
