Well at first I really had no idea what the difference was. Once I did the research though, I then realized how many differences there really are. The NBA has four quarters that are twelve minutes long and the NCAA has two halves that are twenty minutes long. Both of them get five minutes for overtime.

There are many high school basketball phenoms that are scouted by pro teams even when they are in high school. A select few in the past have gone straight to the NBA out of high school and had a lot of success, while some players go to college all four years to develop their skills at the next level. However, there are athletes that will waste one year at the college level just so they could get to the NBA. Why would you waste one year of your life when you could have already been in the NBA a year earlier? Basketball players should either go to college all four years and enhance their skills and get a solid education. If not, skip college and go straight to the NBA, rather than wasting a year of your life, and possibly a classroom seat for a person who wanted to get an education.

The value behind entertainment depends on each individual and their likings, implying that not every single human being enjoys playing sports. It helps develop concentration and self discipline through the rules implemented in the game, breaking them can result to penalties for the player and the team. Practicing self discipline helps one another become more competitive and fair to their game focused in succeeding. It improves awareness in which a person will be aware of oneself and evolve the understanding the relationship of these objects when there is a change of position.      College athletes are not forced into playing the sport that they have devoted their time to during their years in secondary education. They continue to play into the college level for their love of the game.

Each year the NCAA makes about eleven billion dollars in revenue for college sports. How much of that money do the athletes get? They get absolutely nothing for making the NCAA money. Which is crazy since they are ones who generate the money and television ratings. College athletes should be compensated for their efforts due to the understanding that their work brings notoriety to the college the athlete is attending, and brings revenue to the college as well; therefore athletes deserve part of these funds.

College basketball and The NBA may be very similar but they have many changes that will change the game. Most of the differences are rule changes but there are also court and atmosphere changes. Even though changes happen between levels at the end its still the same game of basketball.

Many problems going around about college sports and colleges athletes. Most colleges all over the nation allow the college to have sports but then there are some that don't. Being in a sport in college is just like basically having a job. You would need to be dedicated to this and not have much time for anything else. Practices can last anywhere from 4 to 6 hours a day just for one thing. Kind of crazy to think about something like this. Many people just simply don't have the time to do sports in college because they have a real job outside of school. This is different compared to high school because you would have time then and now you don't have much time for anything else at all. There are college athletes basically everywhere you go. Whether they play for universities or juts community colleges, it's all the same thing. The only big difference about this is the price differences. Universities are much more expensive then when playing for a community college so that's why people get scholarships.

If the NCAA is open up towards allocating student athlete compensation, then perhaps they will consider for allowing student athletes to have the ability to hopefully receive some endorsements they ultimately do deserve. It would allow the university and the student athlete to still have a mutual relationship with one another. The best solution is to put money in trust funds for the athletes as an intriguing incentive and give it to them when they declare intention to leave the University or if they wish

A large crowd is one thing, but a large crowd who is passionately cheering on their team plays a crucial role in sporting events. When asked the question on how school spirit affects his team’s performance, Seth Mcgowen responded, “It increases the morale of the player. When we see there’s a big crowd there cheering us on, we feel like we have to do better so that we don’t let them down. If they’re shouting my name and cheering for me personally, it makes me step up my performance and do something great.” Key words in Mcgowen’s response are “cheering us on” (Benavidez). Mcgowen said an enormous crowd is not what encourages the team, but an enormous crowd that cheers does. Former Tupelo High School basketball coach Jerry Lee Clayton preached the importance of having school spirit and used to tell his players, “A school without spirit is nothing, but a school with spirit has the power to do miraculous things.” Athletes want school spirit from their town and school because they have the chance to feel an emotional connection with the fans. What team wants to compete for a school that does not support them, but all teams want to compete for a school that gives them full support.      To sum it all up, both of these sports are equally exciting. They are both played with a lot enthusiasm and heart. Basketball and football have there differences and similarities,
