Introduction
The most defenseless population around the world and the ones who suffer more for the smallest things are young children. Sometimes they have to face starvation, being alone, cruelty, exploitation, and even sexual abuse. Child sexual abuse is the most dangerous and outrageous of all because it takes the dignity and innocence of their soul. Child sexual abuse is a criminal offense from an adult person towards a minor. These offenses go from child molestation all the way to actual sexual intercourse. Child sex abuse falls into different categories including child sexual abuse to have self-pleasure and child sexual abuse to get a profit.
2) What is Child Sexual Abuse?
Child sexual abuse is a term that includes a variety of criminal and civil offenses in which an adult engages in sexual activity with a minor, exploits a minor for purposes of sexual gratification, or exploits a minor sexually for purposes of profit (Schamalleger,2015, pg). Child sexual abuse does not mean just intercourse with a minor but also child molestation, pornography, masturbation in front of a minor, sex trafficking, or any action that may sexually affect a minor. All the things have a name included those adults who engage us towards children. The child is abuser or child molester is a pedophile. Studies have found that most child sexual abuse victims are young women (girls/adolescents) but also young men (boys/adolescents) can face this situation too.
3) Let’s Talk about Child Sex
Sexual abuse can be hard to define because of the many different forms it can take on, the different levels of frequency, the variation of circumstances that can occur. Until a child is fit to function as a self-supporting and informed adult, we have an obligation not to take advantage of their lack of power or protection to inflict damage, or demand submission to acts that are not in their own best interests within. Children are being abused every day in different countries. While commonly accepted wisdom had been that childhood sexual abuse results in long lasting negative outcomes.
Child abuse is mistreatment of a child by a parent or guardian, including neglect, beating, and sexual molestation.(Dictionary.com) Molestation is the crime of sexual acts with children up to the age of 18, including touching of private parts, exposure of genitalia, taking of pornographic pictures, rape, inducement of sexual acts with the molester or with other children and variations of these acts by pedophiles. (LAW.com) In the United States each year more than 3 million reports of child abuse are made which involve almost 6 million children. (Find Law, 2016) Each day 4 or 5 children are killed by child abuse or neglect.(Find Law, 2016) Not all incidents of child molestation are perpetrated by pedophiles (lawbrain, 2010); sometimes the perpetrator has other motives for his or her attraction to children.
Sexual abuse involves forcing or enticing a child or young person to take part in sexual activities, not necessarily involving a high level of violence, whether or not the child is aware of what is happening. The activities may involve physical contact, including assault by penetration or non-penetrative acts such as masturbation, kissing, rubbing and touching outside of clothing. They may also include non-contact activities, such as involving children in looking at, or in the production of, sexual images, watching sexual activities, encouraging children to behave in sexually inappropriate ways, or grooming a child in preparation for abuse, this also includes via the internet. Sexual abuse is not solely perpetrated by adult males, Women and other children can also commit acts of sexual abuse. This type of abuse is usually committed by someone known to the victim not just by sexual predators. It is important to remember that boys as well as girls can also be the victim of sexual abuse. The signs of sexual abuse as with emotional abuse may not be outwardly visible, because of the shame and self-blame a child will have if this is happening or has happened to them, makes it very difficult for a child

Sexual abuse is any sexual act that is committed against someone’s will, also called sexual violence it covers a range of offenses, including a completed nonconsensual sex act, an attempted nonconsensual sex act, abusive sexual contact, and non-contact sexual abuse. Approximately one in six boys will have experienced some form of sexual abuse prior to reaching the age of 18, that number may even be higher given the understandable reluctance of children to report such crimes. Sexual abuse occurs at the hands of fathers,
Sexual abuse, whether of adults or children, is also abuse of a position of power. It also covers any behaviour by any adult towards a child to stimulate either the adult or child sexuality. The aim of the research is to explore the long term effects of CSA in three developmental domains; Social, Emotional and Behavioural. The three domains are associated with The Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families, (Department of Health 2012). Each domain plays a vital role in the developmental needs of a child, interruptions in one or more of the domains can lead to a child not meeting their full potential, (Department for Education and Skills 2004). The Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families, highlights the importance of these specific developmental domains in order for a child to achieve, it is for this reason why I have chosen to explore these areas. The emotional aspect will discuss depression, feelings of guilt and anxiety. The social aspect will focus on relationships and intimacy, and finally the behavioural aspect will discuss issues self-destructive behaviours.

The definition of “child sexual abuse” has come a long way since its origin. Today, it is defined as any sexual act between an adult and a minor, or between two minors, when one exerts power over the other; this includes non-contact acts such as exhibitionism, exposure to pornography, voyeurism, and communicating in a sexual manner by phone or Internet. However, the issue of child sexual abuse was irrelevant until it was brought to the public’s attention by Western

Finkelhor (2009) gives the most inclusive definition – “child sexual abuse is the use of force/coercion of a sexual nature either when the victim is younger than age 13 and the age difference between the victim and the perpetrator is at least 5 years, or when the victim is between 13 and 16 and the age difference between the victim and perpetrator is at least 10 years”. Child sexual abusers are typically someone the child or family knows. “The most important distinction among child sexual abusers is whether they are pedophilic or non-pedophilic, because pedophilia is a strong predictor of sexual recidivism” (Simons, 2015).
Imagine coming home to your father or mother and them forcefully beating and having sexual intercourse with you. Imagine having so much fear you cannot tell them to stop or fight back. Imagine your older brother holding you down with his hand covering your mouth so you cannot scream. This scenario is tragically the everyday life for many children today. The constant wondering or trying to understand why they deserved this mistreatment. Unfortunately, “over three million children a year are suspected to be neglected or abused from reports from the Child Protection Services” (Bartholet). Children who have been neglected or abused have been linked to multiple behavioral problems that is a national, yet under alarmed, issue (Winters). These
