Derek is a highly successful sales executive whom recounted growing up in various foster homes as a child. Derek indicated his Mother died when he was five and reported being angry at his father due to his “drinking and Carried on”. When Vanessa was asked to describe her husband she indicated he was a “workaholic” and “emotionally shut off” but, admitted deep down inside she would get back with her husband. Tia reported having a closer relationship with her father than her mother.
Vanessa is an elementary school teacher whom described growing in a “close and warm” home. Vanessa indicated she moved out of her parent’s home right after college,

When Tia was asked about her weight lost she indicated she was ‘felt fine” however doesn’t enjoy eating. Tia reported being an honor student her first year however Tia’s Dad indicated that her grades dropped in December. The parent revealed they first notice Tia’s weight lost during thanksgiving. When Tia was asked about her appetite she responded just wasn’t “feeling hungry”. Tia indicated she went on a ski trip with friends in December. Her parents reported after some discussion back and forth they decided to let her go. Vanessa stated at the time” that was the least they could do given all Tia’s been through the last year”. Tia revealed being “confused “about her parent’s relationship and described it as “weird”. Tia reported spending less time with her friends since the ski trip. After exploring the atmosphere at home Tia reported for the last month taken on much of the house hold chores and cooking elaborate meal. Derek indicated that Tia rarely eats with them and keeps herself busy implying she will eat
Rita not having enough time for her son and her husband leaving creates an unstable environment for her son.
Vanessa George has been an employee for 3 years at Little Ted’s day nursery in Plymouth. Neighbours describe Miss George as a respectable member of the community, co-workers and parents describe her as being a fun and bubbly person who was easy to get along with. Before starting at Little Ted’s she worked as a classroom assistant in an unnamed school for 6 years.
Throughout the movie Vanessa was scared that Juno would back out of giving her the baby since someone had previously done so. This well rounded and beautiful adolescent has recently graduated from high school with high grades and was accepted to Brown University, however, due to her summer manic episodes, Trina has not attended college yet.

He served in congress for three years and served one term as president. Abigail Adams was a fairly active first lady, and was involved in some of the politics.
This example of a family’s interesting dynamics that come about can be seen in a show called, “The Fosters.” In this show, the Foster family lives in San Diego where Stef Foster and Lena Adams (in later seasons being Lena Adams-Foster) parent five children, four of them being foster children and one coming from a previous marriage. The children’s names are Brandon (17yrs old), who is the oldest, Mariana (16) and Jesus (16), who are twins that were adopted after Stef and Lena got together, and Callie (17) and Jude (13) who are siblings that both got adopted. Stef is the birth mother of Brandon, coming from a previous relationship with another charater named Mike.

When Derek Foster walked in the room you see someone how you would expect to be a kinda nice but a very stubborn person. Mr Foster strives to help high school students get to college. You would think from first glance, Mr Foster a person how is cool with a lot of people but had a ezay childhood. Mr Foster discharges a feeling like he went to a 2 year college or didn’t complete college at all. Mr Foster is a person you would not expect to play sports or do any out of school activities. Mr Foster seems like a person how would be interested in playing football for a career instead of helping high school kids.
This paper will discuss the differences between families from the 1960’s and the families of today. There are many differences between the different times. I have focused on the parentage portion of the families. I explained what the ideal family is and how it is different today. I’ve also included ways that will help these families of today become stronger as a family.
1. - Housing: Sharon narrated the emotional abuse she is receiving by her housemate. Sharon stated to be afraid of Vanessa not only because she uses alcohol and smoke marijuana, but also because she suffers from a mood disorder and she can be at times verbal abuse. In addition, Vanessa’s son also uses drugs and brings friends inside the house that are affected by drugs. Sharon spends most of the time in her room and when she is in the kitchen, Vanessa gives her bad looks and criticised her.
Vanessa’s daughters are becoming more independent adults, which includes them moving out and the home. This is causing Vanessa to feel more depressed because she feels she is losing her daughters, and losing her purpose in life. Vanessa still has one daughter at home, but is increasingly dissatisfied because she is not connecting with her. She feelings misunderstood and undervalued by her youngest daughter and her husband. Finally, Vanessa also is experiencing increasing feelings of insecurity and loneliness because with her daughters absence she realizes she does not have any friends. She has placed on herself the pressure to make friends, and this is increasing her anxiety and her insecurities.
