The Fast and the Furious: Approach to Marketing Success
The Fast and the Furious movie franchise was an unexpected hit when the first film was released. The movie is about Dominic Toretto, who is a street racing legend, teaching Brian O’Connor how to race and win them money and new cars. The only issue is Brian is an undercover cop who is investigating Dominic and his crew to solve the case about the occurrence of illegal hijackings of big rig trucks (“Plot Summary”). With such a simple plot line, no one expected this movie to take off and reach a huge level of success that lead to the creation of seven more movies with the prospect of there being ten in total over the next few years. The storyline is repeated throughout the movies with a huge, action packed hijacking scene, dramatic scenes of a couple’s quarrel, and a meeting with rivals. The film used a model of repeat and repurpose of their storyline to help develop it into a stronger movie each time they created the next film (“What the “Fast and Furious” Can Teach You”) The director and crew listened to the audience and crunched the numbers to figure out what works and what does not and thus create the huge franchise that is The Fast and the Furious. Few film franchises have enjoyed the lengthy and lucrative run of The Fast and the Furious franchise, a success due in part to its diverse and recurring characters and a loyal fan base.

Notably, the film Goodfellas is a classic film that is recognized as one of the greatest films of all time in regards to the crime genre. Indeed, the film Goodfellas is about American citizens who partake in criminal activity in order to make money. Furthermore, another film was made, shortly after Goodfellas achieved great success in the box office. Additionally, another film titled “The Real Goodfella” is the uncensored documentary explaining the reality behind Goodfellas, and gives a practical insight of the real dangers that could not be shown in Goodfellas. Also there are two articles that explain the explicit truth behind the criminal activity that mobsters justify as work. These sources show that mobsters have a hard time. Mobsters classify as above working class because they constantly have to steal, murder, and deal drugs just to stay alive and have money.
There were many examples of how the characters in the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" manifested power in and through their lives. One example of this is with the character Big George. He was a black man who lived in the town. He also did the barbeque at the Whistle Stop Cafe. A big example of how he manifested power was through his dealings with racism. This movie took place in the 1930's, a time period where the black race was greatly looked down upon and thought to be lesser than white people. This could also be seen when Idgie's friend tells her he has to bring her to Georgia the next day because she is being convicted of Frank Bennett's murder. He basically tells her to pack up and leave the town so she is not arrested and also tells her
The movie “12 Angry Men” covers different negotiation and conflict resolutions. The communication is set in a jury room where people with different worldview are bargaining over the judgment of a murder case. Juror 8 is willing to stand alone with his vote “not guilty”. Trying to avoid the winner’s course, he demanded a conversation about the case despite the clear 11-1 vote on the guilt of the defendant. Juror 8 discredits his opponents’ arguments and uncovers their constraint thinking, he uncovering doubtful evidence, alienating hardliners and engaging in conversations. In the conversation it becomes obvious that not every juror bases his decision on the same facts, and
Close Encounters of the Third Kind was written and directed by Steven Spielberg. The story first starts off with a group of scientist that discover a bunch of perfect condition fighter planes in the desert that went missing in 1945. After that, a couple of commercial flights reported seeing a strange bright light, that they could not describe to ATC in Indiana. “As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster”. One of the most notorious quotes in cinema history, said in the film classic “Goodfellas”. Based off true events in the life of Henry Hill, this classic was created by the legendary Martin Scorsese. Who had already created films that many consider masterpieces attempts another with his “Goodfellas”. Henry Hill, At an age where most kids wanted to be a race car driver or an astronaut, he was already trying to fulfill his dream of becoming a gangster. He said that he felt as if he felt “at home” and he belonged with them, At the tender age of 13 he dropped out of school in order to be around gang members more often, running errands and parking cars along with other small
INTRO Feminist. What comes to your mind from this word? Is it women who have overcome obstacles and challenged society to treat them as equal with men, maybe for some. However, for a majority of the population the word feminist brings on a sour mood. Just hearing the word sounds like it’s something that should be shunned upon.

The film Scott Pilgrim vs The World gives an abstract, but truthful reflection of the lives of young people in modern society. The movie displays the struggles Scott has with his relationships, his journey believing in himself and how he learns to face the repercussions of his actions. The films morals and ideals help to inform young people on going through adolescence and young adulthood by using similar social ideas to those used in today's world.
After reading the play 12 Angry Men I have come to the conclusion that the 12 jurors let a guilty man go free. The play begins with the 12 jurors in a murder case being very divided over what the verdict of the case should be. Even though there were more jurors who believed the man was guilty, with a combined effort of convincing and describing the evidence in different ways, they ultimately come to a not guilty verdict. When deciding if a man is guilty or not you should look at the suspect's background and evidence and avoid your own biases. They came to the wrong decision because of the way the evidence was obscured and the baggage each juror brought into the deliberation room.
Movies are most of the time related to a human being's life. Movies apply psychology to their plots. For example, movies like the StepMom directed by Chris Columbus, and Good Will Hunting directed by Gus Van Sant show us that psychology is part of our lives in a day to day base. It could go from a divorce to a person who is scared to take a step in life. The textbook, Psychology: Core Concept, by Philip G. Zimbarbo, Ann L. Weber, and Robert L. Johnson, utilizes examples from these movies. We are going to see how these movies relate to the core principles of psychology.
I agree with people who say movies aren’t based on real life experience, but I am pretty sure producers have specific messages to tell their audience. Movies might be long and time taking, but when there is free time to spend why not lay back and watch a good movie? Today I will be reviewing one of my favorite movies of all time, Tokyo Drift.
The love story between two different teenagers that come from completely different worlds is the most remarkable. The Notebook is about two young teenagers who fell head over heels with each other. They got separated by Allie’s upper-class parents who insist that Noah isn’t right for her. But that obstacle didn’t stop these two young lovers from being together even if it took years. This beautiful tale has a special meaning to an older gentleman who regularly reads the timeless love story to his aging wife to help her remember what they went through and that the story that he’s reading to her was their love story. The story he reads follows two young
Fast Five was a financial success that broke box office records for the opening weekend in April of 2011. The movie was so popular that is overpassed the Fast And Furious action movie series. In the flourishing stages of the film, Universal studios veered away from street racing and wanted to pull off an action packed heist involving fast cars. They took this route to attract an even larger crowd than the Fast and Furious series already did. Fast Five is considered the transitional film for the series where it includes only one racing scene and more action packed scenes such as gunfights, melee, and a $100 million bank heist. The production company had a tactic that included advertising through social media and NASCAR itself. Fast Five made over $626.1 million in sales in the United States Box Office. It made 66 on the list for the all time worldwide list for highest grossing movie sales.
