The Flight Flying on an airplane has always been one of the most exciting experiences in the life of a person. For many people it is a process that causes them fear. Others love the idea of flying. For me it was the first time I flew in an airplane, it was an experience full of adrenaline, and one of the best moments of my life. Love every part of being in an airplane. Going into the airplane, takeoff, landing and of course the best moment of all was to see my mom again. Boarding the airplane was interesting. After arriving at the airport and saying goodbye to my family, it was time to move to check in my flight. While in the line he could hear a sweet voice calling

The more we advanced they were seeing more lights. These turned into a big city, "Miami". At that time I did not know whether it was fantasy or reality. Seeing Miami for the first time from the sky gave me the idea of a toy city. A city where the night is full of life, lights and movement. Suddenly again the same pleasant voice that greeted us on the plane ride. This time to inform us that we were about to land. When we flew over the airport and see that big building made me feel that many surprises were to come. During the landing there was a bit of turbulence, it was funny because it felt like when you go in a car and there are bumps in the road. After landing, I went to the emigration office. This office was filled with people in suits and all talking in English, giving me the security that I was in right place. After finish the whole process of emigration, came the most anticipated part of my entire trip, see my mom. Down the ramp my mom was the first thing I saw. Seeing her was as if time stopped, as if it were a movie meeting. While I hug her, her skin felt so soft. I feel that sweet smell that has always characterized her. Tears began to show up in our eyes witnessing a beautiful family
1&3Aerospace Engineers are responsible for a variety of different things. They are responsible for maintaining a professional work place and always being creative. They have to be able to explain how operations work and how things are supposed to be used (Aerospace Engineers). The reason I want to be an Aerospace Engineer is so I can always be around space crafts and help out build stuff for the space shuttles. In this occupation you work on different designs for different space crafts.
The book Flight by Sherman Alexie is about a 15 year-old boy named Zits. His Irish mother dies of breast cancer when he is young and his Native American alcoholic father runs away. He has lived in 20 different foster homes and has gone to 22 different schools. Zits had a very rough childhood which has led him to be a troublemaker. Later in the story he shoots up a bank and then gets shot. As a result of his death, he goes on a “flight” and lives through parts of people’s lives who’ve experienced violence, revenge and betrayal. A scene in Flight where he experiences betrayal is in the body of Jimmy. Jimmy betrays his wife then later finds out that his best friend betrayed him and so many other people. In this scene Alexie suggests that we
We got on the plane knowing we would be there for a while. My sister and I were looking out the window in amazement. The sky was so blue it felt like i was looking at a painting. It was so beautiful we had never seen something like this. We stopped at many places. Italy was the highlight for us. Our first view of america was washington DC. I saw my mom's family for the first time in a long time. After a few hours We got back on the
When a person is faced with an awful situation, it is all too easy to only see the negative. Flight by Sherman Alexie, focuses on this through the point of a young teen named Zits. Zits grew up in an abusive and unhealthy environment. (exsmples) When Zits turned fifteen, he met someone that calls themselves Justice who mislead Zits ino shooting up a bank. This leads to his death and a series of body shifts. These shifts make Zits reflect on his own identity and the actions he’s committed his life. By experiencing different stories/lives, Zits is able to learn that, even though there are bad things in the world, there are also many positives to go with the negatives.
“Ultimately, no good can come from this type of decision-making. Fear prompts retreat. It is the antipode to progress. Just when we need new ideas most, everyone is seized up in fear, trying to prevent losing what we have left” (Berns). Fear can be defined as a biochemical, emotional, and physical response to something negative or thrill situation. Most individuals have a negative reaction to fear causing them to obtain the physical response of “fight or flight” in face of fear or avoiding anything that causes fear altogether. The characters in The Crucible all reacted to the witch trials differently and that most likely was because of how afraid they were of the accusations. If someone was more fearful of the possibility that some people were witches then they were more likely to want them in jail or hung opposed to if they were not that fearful. The research question that is being explored in this essay is “What role does fear play in individuals’ decision making in Arthur Miller’s The Crucible?”
If I could be any person for one day, I would be in the Eighty Second Army Airborne during D-Day in WWII. I want to be an Army Ranger in WWII because, D-Day was one of the most historic battles ever fought. Also, I want to see it through the soldier’s eyes, being one thousand feet above the ground looking down as flak lights up the night sky and bullet tracers pierce through the clouds. To me, the Eighty Second Airborne was one of the most elite Infantry groups ever created. They have fought in many wars and battles since the elite group was created. To be in a plane jumping into the night sky with the cold European wind hitting you in the face and the deafening sound of the planes flying overhead would be an experience that I will never forget.
That day at the airport, I thought about a lot of things while we wait for the plane to take off. Moving to the United States with my sister was a huge turning point for me on so many levels. It meant that I will need to learn a new language and adapt to a new culture. It meant that I will leave my aunt and uncle who have raised me for the past eleven years. It meant that I will live with my mom and see my dad and stepdad for the very first time. My emotion was mixed with excitement, fear, and hesitation.
Seventh on my list is the Tudor Star Tiger which left Santa Maria Azores Airport on January 30, 1948 with 25 passengers aboard the British Airliner. The radio operator received coordinates from the plane and it was agreed the time of arrival should be about 5 AM. The
Looking down and seeing a view that only some people will ever bear witness to evokes emotions that are near impossible to describe. On a clear day, when the sky is warm and welcoming, flight is at its greatest. I especially love how, in a small airplane, you feel everything; every bit of turbulence, the wind, and the sensation of floating. During my hour of flight, there were moments when I forgot I was sitting in a plane and felt free and weightless. Ever since I was a child, I've dreamed of flying; and only recently have I learned how possible that is.
Throughout the novel Flight by Sherman Alexie, the main character Zits gradually changed his thoughts about survival and killing one another. He has learned different lessons from each body that he’s gotten into, and every lessons mattered to his changes. Every individuals that he had occupied the body, he’d gained the advantages to solve the situation in his own way. Indeed he couldn’t control fully the people’s mind and actions, but he eventually could fight them to find back the memory.
An unbreakable music duo performed at the Autódromo de Interlagos in São Paulo, Brazil last night. 21 Pilots, compromised of drummer Josh Dun and lead Tyler Joseph, lit up the concert with their wild attics and various music genres lists. Despite the culturally different audience, the influence of 21 Pilots breaks down barriers. The crowd sang note for note for the 20+ song extravaganza. The crowd at São Paulo isn’t the only that likes this dynamic duo. TOP made history in the billboard music history. Billboard magazine said, “With "Ride" & "Heathens" topping the charts, respectively, the act is the first to lead the lists simultaneously with two different songs.” The crowd, despite the tight fit, jumped up and down. Due to this density, if
What I learned was that in order to keep an object floating it has to have enough force to lift up the object. For a airplane to fly air pressure has to be more on the bottom than on the top to keep it in the air. Airplanes have to have a certain shape to fly in the air like birds. When you point the wing in a certain direction it would ether create lift or head straight down. Of course a airplane needs thrust to fly but it needs to have a perfict shape to fly.
After an exhausting 17 hours of flight, we had arrived. Dad picks up an exhausted me and a half-asleep Mom from the airport. We head to our new apartment which was very exciting. I had never lived in an apartment before. After our tiring trip, we get a well-earned sleep.
The GI Bill does cover flight training expenses, but there are certain restrictions. Below explains about the details of what is and what is not covered.
The light to put our seatbelts on glowed as the captain spoke to us and flight attendants acted out safety instructions. At take-off my stomach was filled with butterflies, but I wasn't scared. My body was pushed into the seat but I pretended I was the captain of a fighter jet. When we were stable I discovered that flying wasn't that bad. And the ocean looked beautiful out the windows! I put on my CD player until the played the in-flight movie, Planet of the Apes. I didn't like it so I kept listening to my CD player all the way through dinner. I fell asleep but the sound of the captains voice woke me. He was telling us there was an hour left of the flight. Flight attendants asked us to stow away our bags and prepare for landing. Butterflies were fluttering in my stomach again as I anticipated the landing. I felt the plane lose
