Indeed, the ravages of war were still evident in Gettysburg more than four months later when, on November 19, the Soldiers' National Cemetery was dedicated. As a President, Abraham Lincoln delivered the speech with only 272 words long in just three and a half minutes. Though short, the speech resulted in many things.
