During my childhood, my goal was to achieve my education because I knew that it was essential to success for not depending on others. Hence, having a diploma from college was my priority. What can people gain from having a college degree? Unfortunately, in 2013, my life turned in another way, my priority was not anylonger finishing my education, but taking care of my child. I was pregnant with my first child when I was 19 years old, and I stopped to go school and so that I can take care of him. It was certainly hard for me to choose between my education and my son. Nevertheless, I knew that sooner or later, I will have an opportunity to go back to study. It was my first year of my college when I dropped out of school, but my parents always pushed me to continue my education. When I think though about having a better life, I decided to go back to the college and make my dream successful. I knew that I will have more benefits by by returning to college. My son was born so I was obligated to take care of him. My priority was to make him live in right environment. During night time, I didn’t sleep even for five minutes. My eyes always stayed open and never closed because I breastfed him and changed him all the time.I was a new mother who deal with school and all of duties by being a mother..I wake up early in the morning to go to school because i did drive.I took a bus for one hour and half with many traffic with my son in the bus.I must dropped him to my dad’s
In America, citizens have the right to obtain an education that will withstand the test of time. This education that is given to us at no cost for twelve years of our lives is a gift like no other. Our school systems employ professionals to teach each individual student what they must know to be successful in life. I have been particularly blessed to make it through my primary education with the fondest of memories. I had the opportunity to start school in pre-kindergarten, continue to Junior High, and now I am experiencing college while being a senior in high-school. Sadly, it is common that many students will not have an experience like mine. In a short essay called An Indian Father’s Plea a Native American father, Robert Lake-Thom, reveals the hardships that are faced by students that do not fit the mold.
The quality of an individual’s life can be defined by many different qualities, one topic that seems to be brought up the most is education. Education can affect an individual’s life in numerous ways.
Malala believes education is unequivocally one of the most important resources that can be made available to children around the world. Education is invaluable and sparks the growth of countries that previously lacked the ability to sustain schools and education systems. While it may seem that there are other social issues that should take priority, Malala believes that proper schooling provides a much-needed background for the next generation. This foundation allows for a steady progression that will produce more well-informed citizens. Malala states that “’I know the importance of education because my pens and books were taken from me by force… But the girls of Swat are not afraid of anyone. We have continued with our education’” (Malala 214). In this quote, she is not only expressing her own passion for education, but the conviction of the girls of Swat as well. It is important for these women to support each other and continue to fight the establishment in their pursuit of education. These actions will construct a path in which other girls will follow, burgeoning the community and bringing hope to women in Malala’s country and around the world as well. Malala understands that education is an exceptionally pivotal social issue, and believes that her campaign toward acknowledging and improving school systems is the best way for her to begin making a change.
I am deserving of this award due to how I have faced the challenges in my life to continue and improve my education. Throughout my life I’ve made sacrifices that most of my peers would not do willingly. From childhood I knew that achieving the best grades and challenging myself in academics would allow me to pursue what I wanted later in life, and I knew it wouldn’t be easy. I have sacrificed uncountable amounts of hours that I could have spent with friends or doing other fun activities, to study for my classes. As an example, my mom’s side of the family has had many funerals in the recent past. I have chose to miss some of these funerals to stay in school. I do not do this because I don’t love my relatives. I miss the funerals because I know how important school is, and that my relatives would want me to succeed in getting a great education and achieving my goals. Making major sacrifices like this allowed me to keep a 4.0 G.P.A. throughout my educational career, and deepen my knowledge of world around me. Not only have I been able to make the sacrifices needed to keep myself ahead of game, but I’ve also managed to master my time management skills.
In today’s society we have grown up where education has become an important role in many of our lives. Everyone talks about the importance of getting an education and how being well educated opens the door for many opportunities. For as long as I can remember, I have always been told by my friends and family to take advantage of the education offered and to not let it be taken for granted as many wish to have the opportunity to attend school. Both my parents grew up in Guatemala, where they completed some of their high school education, they came to the United States in the early 90’s. They first arrived in the United States not knowing any English and up to this date they are not fluent in the language but are able to understand some of the basics and speak very little. Currently, I am the one in the family who they come to when something needs to be translated or filed.
As the daughter of Muslim immigrants, I grew up watching my parents work unpleasant jobs and long hours. Although my parents were not able to finish school and receive a high quality education, they continuously work hard to ensure that my siblings and I are being educated at the best schools. My mother always emphasizes the importance of education and taking advantage of the opportunities that arise with becoming educated. Since the very beginning, my parents have instilled in me, the love of learning and valuing the essence of education.
Is an education a requirement for a successful career? Most people would say yes, however I think this is inaccurate, however I do think kindergarten through twelfth grade is important. Further education, such as college or a trade school, however, is not required to be successful. Just about all my family had not furthered their education with college and they’re all do just fine, making enough to live and support their families. Just because you go to college to be something doesn’t mean you will pursue your life in that career, most people don’t. Education is expensive and I don’t think that it is for everyone.
Education is a key factor of individual well-being, social progress, and inclusive growth. In the modern society, with increasing competitive pressure within individuals and countries, well-educated elites are needed. While more people realize the importance of education, in many countries, there are still a large quantity of problems with education such as education inequality and low quality education. In order to solve these problems, governments should restore more funds on education, since it can help eliminate the social inequality, bring more skilled workers, and raise the country's economical incomes.
Education has always been extremely important to me, especially since I am only the second one out of my parents and three sisters to graduate from high school. I have had several obstacles in my way to face, but these hardships make me very determined that I will get my college degree. I am the first in my family to go to college. I come from a family where education was not as important like it is to others. My father is my biggest inspiration. He was less fortunate of being able to finish school. He had a very difficult childhood and had to pick up adult responsibilities at an earlier age in life. He was only able to finish up to the eighth grade. He was the oldest in his family of four other siblings. His dad got very sick and was not able to work and provide for the family like he needed too. This led my dad having to drop out of school at eighth grade to go home to help with other siblings, help his mom with house chores, and work to help with paying bills. My dad can barely read and write, this made it very difficult for him to get good paying jobs. He learned how to be a mechanic working on vehicles, because there is very little to read and write to figure out how to fix a vehicle. He is very good at being a mechanic. This was his career all through out his life and still is to this day working long hard hours. Seeing my dad work so hard all my life inspired me to get a good education. It was difficult as a child to see my dad struggle so much. Our parents could not
A school is a system designed to provide a learning space for people under the influence of educational professionals. For centuries, education has played a major role in developing and changing the world. Therefore, children are obligated to go to school at a very young age to expose them to new skills, ideas, and knowledge. School is to provide the individual with the opportunity to further develop and learn their purpose in society. All around the world people are taught the same thing but feel unsatisfied and useless, are judged and labeled as a letter or number, yet for some people this system is beneficial for them.
The importance of education for all children, especially for those with special needs are limited with social and economic opportunities which is indisputable. When it comes down on improving our schooling system, we think “How can we improve the education program” without even considering how it affects our special needs kids and our program for them. Many challenges remain, including delays in providing services for children with disability, as well as regulatory and financial hindrances that complicate the program for all involved. Enhancing the system necessitates better ways of understanding and measuring both ends of the special education program, namely the services special education children need and receive, and the academic outcomes these students achieve. Which is why I decided to craft this issue into my mask for my multimodal project.
Though education in the United States has been limited in history, the necessity of education has now been accepted by virtually everyone in this country -- and the access to it is better than ever. In most cases when rights have been abused and limited, present and in history, it has been at the hands of the federal government. The importance of education has been emphasized highly and has even led to presidencies proposing bad legislation defining what education is. Education is important to participate and live in a civilized society, therefore it must be considered a right, and should apply to everyone while ridding of all corruptness from government and society that limits one from obtaining it.
A stable education is vital for kids and young adults. It’s especially important for younger children. Learning and being taught properly helps to form their brains at an early age and helps insure a lifelong learning opportunity. Fortunately, the U.S has a very stable education system going, but unfortunately, that’s not the case for some new world countries. Some countries aren’t as lucky and developed, and cannot get a correct education system established. Some areas targeted in this goal include, sub-Saharan Africa, Southern Asia, indigenous people, refugee children, and poor children in rural areas. According to the “United Nations”, the amount of children attending school has greatly increased, but most of them do not acquire basic
Education is a right recognized by many countries across the world, and yet many children don’t even have access to attend school. In Plato’s “The Allegory of the Cave”, coming out of the cave and being blinded by the sun is like learning for the first time. The amount of information may be overwhelming at first, but then can be accustomed to. Education creates opportunities which then creates a better life for children and society, especially in poorer countries. Not only is it a human right to attend school but it is also just, and when something is just, it must be just for all. Education should not be a privilege, and no matter the gender or financial status of a child, they have every right to attend school.
Education has always had a great impact in my life since I was a little girl. I’m a daughter of immigrants that have always taught me that education is very valuable. Both of my parents didn't have the opportunities I have on this country, therefore I value my education to show my appreciation towards my parents, for giving me the life I have today. I come from a family of 6, my father, my mother, my 2 older sisters, my older brother and myself. My father has always taught me and my siblings that nothing is easy in life but everything is worth working for. My mother has always taught me and my sisters to have morals, respect and has taught us how to be independent at a young age. As a family, we’ve been taught to put our education as our first priority to be more in life. Living in a Hispanic household can be one of the greatest thing yet one of the toughest, my mother raised me to have my priorities done before going out to have a good time, for example, if my homework wasn't done then there would be no party for me that day, or if I didn't help around the house then my going out privileges were done. Some may say that I have strict parents because they have these restrictions on me, but i'm very thankful that I was raised this way because as i'm getting older, i'm starting to realize the important things in life.
