What made it easy to use was the fact that the computer code for the PC was very similar to the English language; whereas, previous computers used punch cards as a way to program them.. This change was revolutionary because it allowed anyone to learn how to program a computer. This, coupled with the major computer advancements occurring in the United States, such as the internet, created the idea that becoming a computer scientist almost guaranteed you a job.
