The findings from this research will contribute to the overall study of leadership and provide relevant information to those who are looking to become better leaders. In the last eight weeks this statement has become abundantly clear. The art of leadership is indeed a skill that has to be learned over time. "Without teamwork, communication and sharing of information is limited, which leads to generally poor outcomes.” (Preston). The supervisor has many other roles such as organizing, staffing, planning, answer and ask questions, to ward off resistance, and ultimately to achieve the institution 's goals. However, none of which could not run effectively without clear communication, teamwork and a positive response from their staff. The perspective the staff takes on how they feel the supervisor comes off is going to aide in the effectiveness of the information is received.

When I first found out that the interview person was going to be a principal and former teacher, I was intrigued because my father is a middle school teacher. However, not every individual has a need for a leader in order to play a role within the organization, so being able to discern when and where to lead is important if one is to lead. A leader must know a groups’ needs, each individuals’ needs, be able to think forward in order to create long term strategies and tactics, and above all else, create vision and meaning within an organization so that others can follow with a purpose.
