Niiza walked down the worn down stone path, towards the guild lobby. She had been guild leader ever since she first moved into the small city of Aliicia. Quickly opening the door and letting it slam behind her as she kept her head high with an accelerating pace. The guild lobby was quiet, too quiet…”There isn’t a guild battle today...Is there..?” Glancing at the calendar, it was a sunday…”Yeah...Sunday is our break day...where is everyone…?” she said in a worried tone. BOOM! A loud crash echoed throughout the lobby; rolling her eyes, Niiza grumbled “...Magic...of course…” She followed to where the noise was coming from, the arena. Magic had been practicing her skills of being a mage, determined to overpower everyone in the guild. “Magic, …show more content…
Before them was an eight-legged unicorn-like creature, a Sleipnir. “Stroud...isn’t that Horsey’s monster..?” Kana said in a concerned manner. “Yes, Indeed it is...she must’ve lost control over it..” Stroud said tremulously. Preparing himself, Kanasagi stared straight into the beast's’ yellow glowing eyes. The Sleipnir shrieked a hoarse whinny. Magic rushed in, tears streaming down her face as she cast spells. Meteors rained down on the Sleipnir, angering the creature. The Sleipnir hissed and caught a meteor in it’s mouth and swung it back at her. She fell to her knees, defeated by the monster it had become. Stroud rushed to Magic and dragged her out of the center, laying her at the door to the lobby. “Cover me, Kana!” he yelled furiously. Niiza opened her large graceful wings and flew like a hawk towards the Sleipnir. With her spear she struck the beast, seeking revenge for her fallen member. Hours of battling past, and finally it came to an end, Kanasagi pushed the creature back into it’s friendly state. Stroud had finished reviving Magic, Niiza landed nearby with elegance. “Me, Stroud, Kana, Magic, and where is Horsey…?” Niiza asked curiously. “My Horsey!!!” Magic exclaimed. “Calm down Magic, we can go revive her….if we find her ghost…” Stroud said spookily, trying to scare her. “It was my duty to protect her! Four years of trust....” Magic looked down,

Though, this proved to be a mistake, for the Burning Legion attacked. They burned the village to ash, killing nearly everyone, including Thesiya - Lylanna’s beloved mother. Thesiya died defending her, a demon’s blade stabbed her stomach. If the bleeding had not killed her, it was more than likely to be the fel that tinted the weapon that did the elf woe. Lylanna held her mother as she died, unafraid of whether the demons would find her too or not, she was beginning to think she would be left alone in a world where she would not be accepted.
It was unclear what exactly woke up the small elf, maybe the unfamiliar sounds of horse hooves against the ground, maybe the bright sunlight shining through the sparse forest, maybe the motions of the carriage from the uneven terrain, or some divine forsaken mixture of the three. When she attempted raising her arms to shield her eyes from the harsh light, she discovered that they had been bound together, and rather tightly at that. 'Great,' she thought to herself.

Because of these unfortunate circumstances she experiments with ritualism to find a way to relive her youthful days. By using black magic and performing different occults, such as the killing of the cats, she is brining her younger version alive. The binaries of heaven and hell and religion and magic are very present in this aspect, though she performs supernatural acts, which of course are considered ungodly, and evil, she can also be seen throughout the novella praying to saints to achieve saintliness. It is believed that author was possibly trying to show how an individual could worship God and worship the devil. Her quest for youth and reliving her past would eventually lead to the “creation” of Aura.
The hunters and the Shaman had started to set up camp. She hid behind a cold rock, clutching a mountain lion pelt the men had caught from a previous catch to stay hidden. Ayita waited eagerly and listened to the men tell strange stories she's never heard before within the camp. According to the laws of the tribe, it was forbidden for the women to hear the sacred stories and see the Shaman's magic. She looked up abruptly from her hiding spot to watch the flickers of light and bursts of energy come from the Shaman. This was a nightly ritual before hunting, as they believed the Shaman helped increase their chance of catching a creature to feast upon. The Shaman’s light illuminated Ayita’s face. Then he saw her, and all the bursts of light were cut off at once. “What is a woman doing outside of camp?” He screeches. “Alas, you must be punished.” His arms waved furiously and colors
With booming triumph, Slendy bust through to window in which he heard the sounds of agony. Greeted by the sight of a woman held at knife point, Slendy knocked the knife out of the man’s hand and threw him out of the window. After doing so, he looked at the woman, who now was trembling in fear, and camly reached his arm out for a hug. She didn’t know what this 7 foot completely white creature was doing trying to hug her. She let out the most scorching scream he had ever heard. Bolting down the stairs, the woman was now sobbing in the intensity of the situation. Slendly was sad. Nobody ever gives him credit for his incredible work as a superhero. They’re all focused on the fact that he is a giant 7 foot monster who isn’t even human. It wasn’t
As the pilgrims are continuing their journey, they come across a Yeoman and his Canon. The Yeoman tells the travelers that they are alchemists, and agrees to tell his tale. For the first part, he recounts their own travels and endeavours. He says that they were once wealthy, but now were poor due to their incompetence as alchemists. They often fail in their experiments. After all of this, he begins describing a tale about a canon who tricks a priest using alchemy. He uses “quick silver” to make the priest think that he is actually making real silver. He does this several times, and so the priest buys the secret of “turning objects into silver” from him. The canon then leaves the priest, never to meet again.
So, as she flys forward to attack once more, I throw my hands up creating spikes of darkness. The darkness pushes through the light solidifying around me. The Winged One has no time to stop or slow so she flies forward to the spikes protecting. One of them stabs straight through her left wing. The woman lets out a bloodcurdling cry then is as limp as a rag doll.
Glancing around the arena, Herja could see that many of the other slaves had already been pitted against a wide variety of opponents. Most of the demons and creatures she was able to recognize, having faced others of their kind in battle before, but there were one or two that even she was less familiar with. She quickly switched her focus back to what was going on closest to her as another of Lucifer's pets was summoned in the same circle that she stood in. Planting the butt of her spear in the sand, the Valkyrie batted her majestic wings forward a single time, dissipating the thick cloud of smoke almost instantly with a powerful gust of wind. Herja stood stoically with her head held high as she gave the beast a slow once-over, studying its
Suddenly, the wind stopped, and she could feel her feet touching the ground. Rebekka looked around her. They were in front of a dark, black castle. Marya handed her a sword and said, “I cannot go in with you. You must fight alone.”
