Friendship is like a blossoming sprout in spring. At first it is dainty and fragile but as it cultivates into an elegant flower, it grows more and more robust. Sometimes the biting winds of hate and deceit can knock the blooming flower down-- but that is not the case in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). At first these aliens mostly detested each other. When they came into contact with the orb, they were merely in it for the money. When Drax arrived, agreed to help with the orb as long as he would be the one to kill Ronan. When it came time to face Ronan, the guardians had to make a choice-- run or stay and fight to save Xandar. Heroically, Starlord (Peter Quill) chose to put himself at risk in order to save his friends and Xandar. Luckily, the remaining members of the guardians came to Peter's rescue and help channel the Infinity stone phenomenal power; thus defeating Ronan. As the story falls to a close, the guardians reach their goal-- shield the galaxy from Ronan’s corrupt ways. Saving the galaxy did not only bring peace, it brought an unlikely group of the most diverse aliens together. They also gained something that they never expected-- friendship. These unlikely characters unearth the certainty that camaraderie can be formulated in the most unlikely perception and in the most unlikely
The novel ‘the outsiders’ is making the same point about friendship as the film ‘rebel without a cause’ as they both convey the idea that during this time, friendship was very important to all teenagers as they are more independent and spend more time away from their families, and aren’t as close.
friend can completely change a person’s outlook on life, change the way they live their life and even help them live their life to the fullest. Friends often have more impact on the life of an individual than family because friends are people who you choose to have in your life, and are not people who are just there. With the busy lives that people lead these days, people often feel neglected by their loved ones. This can lead people down negative paths when they feel they have no one there for them. In the novel, Shattered, by Eric Walters, it is proven that no matter how badly a relationship may begin, it can blossom into a great bond between two
Most people know about the attacks on Pearl Harbor but very few know about how it affected the lives of Japanese-Americans living on the islands. In the novel, Under the Blood-Red Sun, the author Graham Salisbury tells a story from the perspective of Tomikazu Nakaji, a young Japanese-American boy and his struggles with racism and becoming the man of his family. After the attack, the suspicions and biased racism of the non-immigrant Americans is raised, which lead to the wrongful arrests of Tomikazu's father and grandfather. This resulted with him having to get a job, take care of his family, and deal with the constant bullying of his neighbor, Keet Wilson. In the end, he manages to maintain the tasks his father had assigned him with the help of his friends. This book showed me the importance of friendship, honor, and persistence.
Sometimes, there are people that have really stupid fights for the most ridiculous reason. “The Interlopers” is about these two families that have a feud that has been happening for many years and one day, two people, Ulrich and Georg, were hoping something tragic was going to happen to the other person but nature blows a tree over them so they are pinned to the ground. Then later, they start to figure out the complications between themselves and become friends. When they think it is their men that are coming to help them, it ended up being wolves as the figures coming towards them. The author Saki writes about the theme of friendship can be made with a person that is your enemy in the story “The Interlopers” by using characterization, foreshadowing, and conflict.
Friendship opens our minds to different views and perspectives and change our perceptions. It has the power to change people’s views on life in a positive way. True friends will do anything to keep their friendship alive, no matter the barriers. Potok proves through the friendship of Danny and Reuven that friendship can be achieved no matter the barriers. He proves that friendship is a key value to life through his motif
A man by the name of Andy Dufresne was convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and was sentenced to two consecutive life terms in Shawshank prison. He was an obvious black sheep among the prisoners, but as time went on he grew relationships with the crooks and realized the injustice in the justice system. In the creation of friendship between Red and Andy, hope was spread throughout the prison. While many themes are present in the film The Shawshank Redemption, hope, friendship, and injustice are also relevant in the world today.
Friendship is a very valuable thing because it can get people through the hardest of times, as shown in Nancy Farmer’s House of the Scorpion, where the reign of El Patron over his country, Opium, is overthrown by his own clone, Matteo Alacran, with the help of his few friends, whom he keeps through loyalty and compassion.
“A true friend accepts who you are but also helps you become who you should be seeing what is really inside you.” This quote connects with the book, it shows a real friend can see what really is inside of someone and all the pain they feel, how they try their best to find out what is wrong with that person and find a way to help them, not just leave and give up. In the ‘Only Alien In The Planet” by Kristen D. Randle,Ginny who is the main character of the story meets Smitty who has trouble speaking and communicating with others . “Hard times will always reveal true friends.” This shows that a true friend will stick with his friend even in difficulties and they will help you in your hard times and good times whenever you need them. Just like in the Only Alien on the Planet, by Kristen D. Randle, Ginny wanted to make smitty talk but smitty doesn’t make eye contacts with anyone, and Smitty never talks to anyone, so Ginny was trying to figure out why Smitty isn’t talking. Ginny learns that the power of love heals the wounded. We should also learn from her that if you love someone and show them that, then it can help them with their problem.
No matter how high level you are, how much gear you've collected and the experience you've had it means nothing in the face of friendship. Friendship is the true hidden power in Ready Player One By Ernest Cline an amazing book that was very enjoyable to read over the summer. In this essay I will be answering the topic question "In what way is friendship the true power in Ready Player One?" Firstly let's talk about the Oasis.
As the group gains popularity, internal friendships seem to drift almost immediately – which is the main theme of the film.
Communication plays a key role in relationships and therefore it is vital for communication to be the cornerstone for friendships or associations in order to be successful. Many individuals believe that in film, interpersonal conflict is make believe or a fairy tale because it is not always emphasized. This is false and in actual reality interpersonal conflict is found in film as it is also found in real life. I decided to examine the interpersonal conflicts found in the movie Hitch (Mordaunt & Tadross, 2005) directed by Andy Tennant. One of the conflicts and scenes I choose to examine was Hitch’s
Lewis begins by explaining how friendship and companionship are closely related and how friendship is derived from companionship. Furthermore, he describes how friendship is, in a sense, stumbled upon as he illustrates it as “two or more companions discover that they have in common some insight or interest or even taste which the others do not share”. In addition, he provides specific statements that companions might use when they
