The smuggling and trafficking of people worldwide is something that needs to be addressed by the United Nation and other foreign diplomats with a sense of urgency. With it being close to 1 million people being globally trafficked yearly this no small issue, therefore this is effecting one million families. This cannot be dealt with tomorrow it need to be handled now with better laws and legislation that is effective and helps the victims start over.
Right under our nose the women, girls are being coerced into prostitution, and sex slaves, furthermore what do we do as parents, fathers, husbands and brothers to stop our women and girl from being forced into trafficking and being smuggled, however is immigration laws and legislation enough to help or are we the source of own problems?
In this story of human smuggling and trafficking we get the understanding of what is the difference of the two and how not to get them confused. Human smuggling is defined as “the facilitation, transportation, attempted transportation or illegal entry of a person(s) across an international border, in violation of one or more country’s laws, either clandestinely or through deception, such as the use of fraudulent documents.” At times these are can be very dangerous ways to get entry into another country as per the case with Tyrone Williams the truck driver who was part of the nation’s deadliest human smuggling attempt which caused the death of 19 illegal immigrants.
