Two hundred million dollars, that's what the heirs had a chance of winning if they could solve the puzzle. The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin is a book full of excitement and mystery. The puzzles and all kinds of clues and very controversial decisions are made. The Westing Game book and movie contain many similarities and differences that are worth staying for.
The novel and the movie are very different,in a unique way. The book is a story where there are 16 heirs and they all tell their own part of the story. The movie only has 10 heirs and Turtle is telling everyone who each heir is. Even though the book and the movie have many differences there are even more similarities.

In the book there was Flora Baumbach but in the movie there isn’t,Sydelle Pulaski kind of took Flora’s job in the movie because Sydelle was a mother like figure and Sydelle wasn’t herself in the book. In the book Sydelle wanted tons of attention and in the movie she really didn’t want that much attention. There was no Theo Theodorakis or D.Denton Deere, Dr.Deere was in the movie for a little bit but didn’t have a big part he only helped Angela when the bomb went off and scraped her face. The setting is even different in both the book and the movie in the book Sunset Towers is a huge brand new building made of glass right over the shores of Lake Michigan. In the movie it was an older rundown building made of bricks and not the big luxurious hotel we imagined.
Two hundred million dollars that’s what the heirs had a chance of winning. Remember when Sam westing had four identities and was faking death and also sneaking around. Remember when D.Denton Deere had a very little part in the movie but in the book and had a big role and was going to marry Angela. There were very different and similar things in between the book and movie. The Westing Game book and movie were both very good, even though they were very
There are many of the same people like Turtle, Angela, Grace, Hoo, Otis Amber, and Berthe Erica Crow. Also the money is both in the 2’s of millions like 20 and 200. Mr. Hoo still owns a Chinese restaurant that does very poorly. Also Berthe Erica Crow is still partnered with Otis Amber, and they still own the Good Salvation Soup Kitchen. As always Turtle still wins the Westing Game. That’s just a small list of what the similarities are between the book and movie.
Buck lives in Judges Millers estate at the beginning of both the book and the movie. He is then kidnapped by Manuel, the gardener. He is sold to dog salesmen heading to Alaska. He is disciplined by the Law of Club and Fang. The man in the red sweater takes Buck out of the cage and repeatedly beats him. Buck continues to try to attack until he is to week to fight. He then learns the law of Club and Fang.
The first difference is the point of view. In the movie, the story is in Turtle’s point of view which makes it harder to understand the whole story. The book is in 3rd person point of view. Although the book is in 3rd person, it still has thoughts from the characters. The movie only has thoughts from Turtle and that makes it hard to understand.
The April Morning novel and the movie reveals the same basic story line. In movie, some scenes and characters were cut off from the novel, but overall it gives the same idea as novel. Both the book and movie depicts the story of Adam Cooper who is 15 year old boy at the beginning of the novel but at the end he turns out a man who takes the responsibilities of his family after his father death. Adam lives with his father Moses, mother Sarah, Brother Levi, and grandmother. The book shows the character Levi but not in movie.
The Westing Game written by Ellen Raskin is a mystery. This book is about a man named Samuel W. Westing (a.k.a. Windy Windkloppel, Barney Northrup, Sandy McSouthers, and Julian R. Eastman) creating a game to find the one that had murdered him. The murderer is among the 16 chosen heirs ( Turtle Wexler, Flora Baumbach, Christos “Chris” Theodorakis, Doctor Denton Deere, Alexander “Sandy” McSouthers, Judge Josie-Jo Ford, Grace Windsor “Windkloppel” Wexler, James Shin Hoo, Sydelle Pulaski, Angela Wexler, Madame Sun Lin Hoo, Jake Wexler, Theo Theodorakis, Doug Shin Hoo, Otis Amber, and Berthe Erica Crow) and the one who finds out the murderer will win $200 million. Each pair of Westing heirs gets a set of clues and try to figure out what is the
For the past few weeks, I have analyzed the storytelling style of the book and film Big Fish. The biggest difference I noticed was that I thought that the book focused more on the telling of Edwards inane stories, while the film was mostly centered around character development and relationships. I also think that while the book was very euphoric and felt like a children’s bedtime story, the film took a much more mystical and mysterious route, where a childish feel was dormant. Lastly, I thought that in the book the author just threw all the stories together and told them
There are other significant similarities between the movie and the book, so if I overlooked or forgot any extremely crucial points, forgive me.
Ender’s Game is a well known science-fiction genre book that is most popular with the young-adult reader demographic. The novel was published in 1985 and written by the American author Orson Scott Card (Card). The official website of Orson Scott Card states that Ender’s Game was the winner of both the Nebula and Hugo awards for best novel in 1985 and 1986, respectively (OSC). The actor choices from the film compare to what the book envisioned, but also contrast. The character of Daisy is not similar in the film to what the book
The Most Dangerous Game was a story made by Richard Connell in 1924, and had a movie adaptation in 1932. The short story tells about a man stranded on an island by the name of Rainsford. He finds Zaroff, a general with a great lust for hunting, who hunts people and Rainsford himself going to be hunted. He then attempts to outwit the general and ends up possibly taking his place. The film tries to encapsulate the excitement and story of the original version with more enticing visual effects and mostly succeeds. Although the film shares many themes and characteristics as the story, it has also changed many key factors.
The book and movie are completely different. It 's like comparing apples and oranges. (I 'm assuming that you used the newest version with Guy Pierce). The biggest difference is probably the ommision of Haydee and Maximillien and Valentine (three of the main character) and the addition of Jacapo. Jacapo does is in the book, but he is never a large character.
"Ah!" says he, smiling, "you are deeper than me in the geography. But so far, I may tell you, this agrees pretty exactly with other informations that I hold. But you say you were kidnapped; in what sense?" There are many differences in the novel and the movie kidnapped and many similarities but on the other hand, only the movie is worth seeing because, of more detail. Kidnapped in movie form is the better choice. In the movie their is a huge bundle of characters, more evidence to the storyline, and many more reasons why the movie is an obvious arrow to go towards watching it.
Another notable difference between the film and the novel is the
Normally, when a movie is made about a story in a book the two stories are not exactly the same. The movie is adjusted by adding small details or leaving out some parts in order to make the story more
