The World Through Their Eyes We can disagree with them, appreciate or belittle them but one thing we must never do is ignore those who think differently because “the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” Steve Jobs. At first the world rejected Zuckerber, Jobs and Hawking’s attempt to change societey and called them crazy. These three people’s alternative thinking molded societey into the remarkable place it is today. Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs and Stephen Hawking are all people who I would like to switch lives with.

Roughly a decade after founding Facebook Zuckerberg truly demonstrated his generosity by signing up for a pledge known as “The Giving Pledge.” In effort to help solve humanity’s dilemmas, Warren Buffet and Bill Gates founded the pledge, which is intended to encourage the wealthiest humans on the planet to donate at least half of their earnings to philanthropic causes. At only 30 years of age to have the moderation, maturity and especially the generosity to join the pledge is something I truthfully admire. Improving time and work management has been a goal I have set for myself the last couple of years. How Mark Zuckerberg managed his time and the work that Harvard and the creation of billion dollar idea takes is something I would like to experience how. College in its self is hard enough, and going to Harvard is demanding, but materializing a multibillion dollar idea while at Harvard is just way beyond insane. How he made Facebook successful under the circumstances he was already dealing with makes me want to have that experience to develop the work and time management skills he has which completely amazes me. Mark Zuckerberg’s inventive thinking changed the ways humans interact socially; however before the Facebook era Steve Jobs completely innovated technology and transform the way we live. If I was given the
Steve Jobs, a Renaissance Man, clearly showed that he was valuable to society. First, Steve Jobs said, “Let’s make a dent in the universe. Let’s make it so important that it puts a dent in the universe.” Usually, wanting to make something extremely important in incorporated with wanting to change the world. Second, Steve Jobs said, “Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water or do you want
Many know him as the man who invented the social networking website, Facebook. He is mainly known as a very rich and generous man. Zuckerberg has donated his profits to a failing school, has spent billions to help research on childhood sickness, and he has signed pledges saying that he will donate his money to charities. Although, he did have a setback. Mark was blamed for supposedly stealing ideas from college classmates on a social site that they had made for Harvard
Mark Zuckerberg and Patrick Soon-Shiong came from different backgrounds, and although now they have earned a spot in the Forbes Top 400 Most Successful Entrepreneurs, it seems that Mark had more than advantage that led to his success. Mark Zuckerberg is the son of dentist Edward Zuckerberg and psychiatrist Karen Kempner. Zuckerberg attended private school after demonstrating great proficiency in his classes at public school, and he received numerous accomplishments in science, math, astronomy, physics, and classical studies. Mark Zuckerberg lived the life of a middle class individual, where he had access to a stable household income, a prestigious education, and an opportunity for advancement in his youth giving him the opportunity to explore different realms. Compared to minority entrepreneurs, Zuckerberg has succeed far beyond a life’s worth of work. In comparison Patrick Soon-Shiong worked in his father’s store in South Africa and had grown up learning about traditional medicine through his father. Soon-Shiong had lots of hands on experience being a

In fact, I have found that many of the most influential people in today's society were those that stood out the most. Having a unique passion, or characteristics that gave them the motive and ability to thrive. Steve Jobs is a perfect example of being different and thriving because of it. He is often referred to as one of the most instrumental people in the advancement of technology, and was often praised on his unique ability to create futuristic technology. Yet, many do not know the full story, and do not realize that he was often critiqued on his “crazy” ideas and “obsessive” personality prior to his success. Yet, he never once took the remarks to heart and continued to make various advances in the technological field. Eventually becoming one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time, and building a business that has stood the test of time. As Coco Chanel, a famous designer and businesswoman put it, “In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”
Millionaire entrepreneur Kevin Rose may not be as well-known as founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg or Twitter’s founder Jack Dorsey, but he has been influential in the tech sphere for many years. Through his diverse career, Rose has exhibited many entrepreneurial traits ranging from calculated risk taking to the ability to see an opportunity in the market.
After watching the movie The Social Network, the first thing I did was to search for Mark Zuckerberg’s real life experiences to see which parts are facts and which are fictions. As a matter of fact, this Harvard genius that founded the world’s first social network was not as childish as the movie portrayed. At least he didn’t write programming for getting into elite Harvard “Final Clubs” or for retaliating his girlfriend. During Mark’s high school, Microsoft and AOL tried to purchase the music player that he built and also invited him to join them. However, Mark decided to enroll in Harvard for further education. From where I stand, although the movie is fictional, it can easily
“You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward.” Someone said in regards to the human race.
The fact that human perspectives are as different as the people who think them, is an inevitability that adds dimension to relationships, but also means that not all social interactions run smoothly. An example from my own personal experience occurred during the summer break of my second year in high school. I was privileged enough to enjoy a one month vacation in Europe on which I traveled to fifteen different countries. Being the first trip away from home, my scope was fixed on the amazing places and history to be uncovered. I gave little thought to the people on the tour with whom I would spend these thirty days. As it turns out, these people would be much more impactful than I originally thought. My tour group of 36 people was almost entirely Australian. I found that this group of Australians I traveled with were a fun loving, easy going group of tourists, but they definitely took their ideas about gun control seriously. Because I was American, they placed me on the opposite side of the spectrum and saw me as a gun lover. We had deep conversations about Australian and American perspectives. I began to think more deeply about how the Australians had identified me, and how I might see people in ways that are not true to the
Men are not created with the same mind-set nor the same motives as one another, but we all had the same thought of becoming a billionaire at age 20. The author mentions Mr. Zuckerberg as “a 26-year-old scruffily dressed Jewish kid who started a cultural revolution in his dorm room and inspired a movie that may just win an Oscar for best picture”(Rabin 482). Also another way he effectively appeals to the opposition by the opinion of other people, because no one in their right minds would guess a person who dresses in their pajamas in the middle of broad day could be the next 26-year-old billionaire. But that’s the flaws of judging a book by its cover. One can say that Mr. Zuckerberg had a clarity to be successful, there’s a saying in which goes for everyone who is striving to be successful “If you don’t help build your own dream, someone else would hire you to build theirs”.
Did you know that Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook, a social network designed to help people connect worldwide, faced a big lawsuit due to the creation of Facebook? While a lot of you may have seen The Social Network, a movie made in 2010 showcasing the creation and lawsuit Facebook went through, there is much more to Facebook than you may think. Dropping out of college to pursue a company that isn’t guaranteed to help you build a career is quite the risk, but in rare cases, it can pay off, just as Facebook did for Zuckerberg. With each growing company, risks must be taken in order to advance, this is exactly what Zuckerberg does, and he does it well.
In the film The Social Network, directed by David Fincher, the character Mark Zuckerberg is depicted as an arrogant, egocentric person who will lie and harm the people around him to get to where he wants. Zuckerberg’s ex-girlfriend Erica Albright brakes up with him and as a result of his emotions of that night, he creates a website that becomes very popular within hours of being up, and ultimately crashes the schools connection. The name Zuckerberg then becomes very popular, and the Winklevoss twins reach out to him for help to build a new innovating social networking website. This is the beginning of a giant chain reaction that each decision leads to another bigger conflict.

Bill Gates is not only a genius, but also an innovator in education, technology, and philanthropy. A prodigy, Bill Gates shares an education fact with Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, and even his competitor Steve Jobs: no college degree. Instead, he devoted his time to his passion for technology, going on to create the most profitable technology company in the world. For much of the past decade, Gates allocated both his profit and attention to philanthropy. Evidence of his innovation, industry and curiosity can be seen at an early age.
