To become a valuable and successful leader, one must have an ability in dealing with staff and clientele. The effectiveness of leadership depends on the style of leadership that the leader implements, and usually depends on the leadership. These are things to consider regarding how a manager’s leadership skills are impacted by the stakeholders who are invested within the organization. The stakeholders set the tone for the organization in a way. Stakeholders of a healthcare organization range from patients, providers, administrators and health insurance providers. Each stakeholder has an obligation to the organization to play a role in the status and performance to determine the organizations position and resolutions. Patients involvement as a stakeholder is to direct the organizations way of providing care to cater to the public’s needs. Each organization tries to cater to the community and its health issues. Patients want to receive compassionate care from their provider while receiving the best care possible at a reasonable cost. “The Merriam Webster definition of humanism is that it is “a doctrine, attitude, or way of life centered on human interests or values.” [1] Branch et al. stated that humanism in medicine involves “the physician’s attitudes and actions that demonstrate an interest in and respect for the patient and that address the patient’s concerns and values.
