Bending the cost curve. The Triple Aim is part of health care delivery reform, as part of the ACA, all derived with the ultimate goal of reducing healthcare spending in the United States. The government and organizations are still waiting for evidence on the effectiveness of Triple Aim models in improving population health, controlling costs, and improving patients’ experience of care. As of 2010, concerns regarding balanced attention to the three overarching aims, indicate that healthcare organizations may increase quality at the expense of cost, or alternatively, they may decrease cost while creating a dissatisfying experience for patients (McCarthy and Klein, 2010, p. 1).
Ford Motor company, founded by Henry Ford, is one of the longest lasting automobile companies in the world. Just like any business, corporation, or establishment, Ford Motors has a vision and a mission statement in which makes up the principals that they stand upon. The mission statement in simple terms is “One Team. One Plan. One Goal.” It is also called the “One Ford” mission, in which basically says that anybody that is connected with Ford has the same mission, in which metaphorically spells “unity” (Thompson, 2017). “People working together as a lean, global enterprise for automotive leadership, as measured by: Customer, Employee, Dealer, Investor, Supplier, Union/Council, and Community Satisfaction,” is what exemplifies one team. “Aggressively restructure to operate profitably at the current demand and changing model mix; Accelerate development of new products our customers want and value; Finance our plan and improve our balance sheet; Work together effectively as one team,” exemplifies one plan. Finally, the goal of Ford Motors is “An exciting viable Ford delivering profitable growth for all” (Thompson, p.1, 2017). The vision statement of Ford Motor Company is, People working together as a lean, global enterprise for automotive leadership.” The leadership of the automotive is ultimately measured by everyone who is connected to the company in which includes the employees, suppliers, communities, customers, investors, and dealers,” (Business, 2015). In order to carry out a vision, one must have a plan of action in order to carry out the vision that has been set. Ford Motors constantly works toward their vision by building, “great products, a full family of vehicles – small, medium and large; cars, utilities and trucks – with best-in-class quality, fuel efficiency, safety and smart design; strong business, based on a balanced portfolio of products and global presence; and better world, accomplished through our sustainability strategy,” (Business, 2015). The mission and vision statement of Ford Motor Company is definitely effective.
“I am A Wife. And, not altogether incidentally, I am a mother.” One of the many statements Judy Brady writes in her essay. “Why I Want a Wife,” that appeared in the Ms. Magazine during the new wave of the feminist movement in 1972 (Brady 263). This is a clear statement of her authority as a real wife and mother she makes in this essay.
main strategy for the North American market is to aim for higher sales, while raising the proportion of locally produced automobiles. Toyota Motor Corp have reached a stage where investments made over the last several years to expand production capacity are beginning to show returns and improved profitability can be expected. Toyota’s goal is to bolster local production through additional investment, and contribute to the regional economy by expanding its operations. At present, our production capacity in North America is approximately 1.25 million units (including our joint venture with GM). However, Toyota Motor Corp plan to boost this to 1.45 million units during 2003.
A mission statement addresses the actions that are needed to meet the organizational objectives of a business goal (Thompson, 2015). Ford Motor Company’s current mission statement is about the response to current challenges that company has experienced in dealing with new market risks, such as the American recession and the global financial crisis that started in the late 2000’s (Thompson, 2015a). Ford’s mission statement is “One Team, One Plan, One Goal (Thompson, 2015a). The company’s mission statement emphasizes teamwork to achieve synergy at Ford (Thompson, 2015a). It is important for Ford to unify all of their organizational stakeholders into one cohesive unit.
