The president gave an important speech to Congress in Washington today. He talked about several important issues and he gave a different speech than I think many people very expecting. Trump talked about jobs and he said that it is important to ensure that woman entrepreneurs have the capital and access to the markets they need to succeed. Trump talked a lot about the military, the military budget, and about the veterans. Trump wants to increase the funding for the veterans, he said: “They have served our nation, risking their lives, now it is our turn to serve them.” A drastically increase in the military budget was one of his topics. Trump said that everyone should have the ability to have a job with a high salary and that it is important to support the victims of crime. “VOICE”, Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement” is …show more content…
and that this issue is an important issue to discuss and to solve. He addressed that he wants all children to be able to get out of poverty and graduate high school, and possibly college. He said that to the able to break out of poverty, it is important to break the cycle of violence. Trump also used the metaphor saying that it is important to build bridges to better the communication. By this, he meant that communication can solve many problems and that communication often is the key to many complicated arguments. I think that this speech was very interesting, and I, as many others were shocked about his approach. For the first time in a long time, he was talking about “we” and not “I”. I believe this is important because I think it takes more than one man to solve all the problems. If we work together and help each other, things will be more easily solved, and probably also faster. trump talked about rebirth, common goods, and hope, and I believe that all of these factors are important for today`s world, and not only the U.S`s future but the world`s
He changed so much in the US he also did Obama care, that changed so much people lives who needed it. Trump throughout the speech he talked about himself and how he worked with companies. He did talk about America but not much as Obama did with his speech. Even though both are presidents and also care about America, they are still so different.
He addressed the realities of what happens when we don’t hold people accountable with public’s money. He addresses the issues that were on everyone’s mind. In contrast, Trump painted a very dark picture of America. Yes, there are a lot of parts of America that hasn’t recovered since the financial meltdown and drug abuse is on the rise. However, he didn’t address why those parts of America are failing and why the drug abuse is on the rise. Plus, Trump did not mention how well our overall economy is doing. Trump’s made it seem like America was failing behind and living in darkness and fear and he was their savior. Versus Obama who was honest about the challenges we faced and he offered hope and motivated us to work together to get back on top.
In his speech, President Trump uses elements of figurative language, diction, syntax, and arrangement to emphasize his purpose, which was to condemn the violent protestors, to show his sorrow for those who have died, and to try to bring unity to the United States.
President Trump said he would repeal and replace the ACA “Affordable Care Act”. Additionally, President Trump has promised to reduce the $19.5 Trillion (and growing) debt by cutting spending on all non essential government agencies and add-on expenses that were senselessly added over the last administration. He also said he would convince companies to bring factories back to America, in essence “Make America Great Again”. These are just some of the many promises President Trump has made to the American people. But many of his promises will take a while to come in affect as his plan to alter the course of our country unfolds.
Historically, this speech is going to last forever, therefore, it is important to look at the overall effect. Trump begins the speech with a very sorrowful tone. Hitting major topics such as jobs going overseas, the education system and corrupt politicians. To then slowly transition to a more hopeful and prospering future. The transition focuses on
Donald Trump, a once controversial political candidate, gave his 2017 Inaugural address on January 20th, 2017 when he was inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States. Through appeals such as syntax and diction, religion and patriotism, and logic, Donald Trump was able to generate a unifying speech toward his audience. Amidst the growing violence and repercussions of the 2016 election, Donald Trump, in his 2017 Inaugural address, sends the message that he will put America and its citizens first to unite the country and change America for the better.
Additionally, throughout Trump’s speech he talks about terrorism. He seems to be biased though. Trump states “the vast majority of individuals convicted of terrorism and terrorism related offenses since 9/11 came here from outside of our
Besides a few items like NATO, Trump's speech did what was needed. Only time will tell if these additions will hurt him. It deffinately didn't secure my vote. The election is becoming more hopeless the closer we get to
Donald J. Trump is now the president and many people dislike that he got elected but the majority ruled and majority wanted it to happen. People dislike the fact that he did a lot but I think that it will be good because I think that this country needs to have a business man to be president. I think that he is going to try and cutdown the debt that we are in and that he is going to try and "Make America Great Again". This is an essay about what I think he is going to do.
Millions of jobs were added causing the unemployment rate to cut in half, which is a great considering the fact that just years ago a lot of people were out of jobs. With that comes affordability for education, college tuition is not cheap and Obama wants to provide two years of community college at no cost for students. He wants that to get this free community college started this year. Second part of the speech was the spirit of innovation. Innovation has had a positive impact in America, from walking to the moon to curing a disease, it has reshaped the world. This new century is advanced and with that people are being innovative and that could lead to the next big thing that will greatly impact society. The third part of the speech is the United States leadership in the world. He stated that the United States is the most powerful nation and the army is the finest fighting force in the
By talking about the dependence of schools on the income of the people living in the areas surrounding, Obama points out that privileged white kids are able to come out on top verses an African American child who grew up in an underfunded school. These white kids then get into more prestigious colleges, in turn landing more high paying jobs than the majority of their African American counterparts.
Since then, he has come out as a strong candidate, continuously leading in the polls. In his campaign, Trump has stood out on major issues, such as Immigration, 2nd Amendment Rights, Tax Reform, and VA(Veterans Administration) Reform. On VA Reform, Trump has said that any veteran can take their military ID to any doctor for immediate treatment, and that this power to choose will greatly increase the effectiveness of the VA in order to give vets the care that they have earned. According to Trump, income taxes will not be paid by anyone making less than $25,000 as a single person, or $50,000 married, along with simplifying tax brackets to 0%, 10%, 20%, and 25%. Addressing the problem with illegal immigration, Trump believes that there needs to be a wall protecting our borders. Trump also encourages cooperation with gang task forces, tighter restrictions on visas, and putting American workers first in line for jobs. Last, but not least, 2nd Amendment Rights, in Trump's words, need to be majorly expanded and remove all bans on what people can or cannot have, along with fixing the mental health care system. In summary, Trump believes in opportunity, and these positions are indicative of that
Trump’s speech comes after he met with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto earlier in the day and asserted America’s “right” to build a border wall during a hastily arranged visit to Mexico City.
In President Donald Trump’s speech, he brought up topics like protecting our borders, communication with other countries, and healthcare. These topics can be redirected to Globalization and work, National Security, Communication, and even biotechnology. President Donald Trump as well as America are technological optimist, meaning that they believe that the advances in technology can help our country in many ways. President Trump along with American citizens are behind technology.
He talked about how he had started to bring home troops from Afghanistan. He also stated that by the end of the summer, around 23,000 more would come home. He wants to build a partnership with Afghanistan to end their attacks against us. He also discussed how America is raising to the top globally and Europe and Asia have become stronger than ever. The president also proposed a new defense strategy for the U.S. it will protect our country from cyber-threats and ensures us a strong military while saving money in our budget. Another important topic concerning our military is VA founding. He wants to give our veterans the care and benefits they deserve for protecting our flag. The amount of VA spending has increased gradually since he has become President in the hope of enlisting more
