I can do some prewriting to see what ideas I can come up with and what my main focus will be. I can also decide on the character I will be discussing, the theme, and plan how I will organize my essay.

I am accustomed to starting my essays by generating ideas. I like to take a sheet a paper and write down everything that comes to mind when I think of a certain subject. Next, I would do an extensive amount of research on the subject to make sure that I know enough about the subject to write a complete paper about it. My writing process, no matter what, always includes brainstorming, rough drafts and proofreading. When I receive an assignment I read the question over what feels like a million times till I fully understand what it is asking. I will make notes on the handout and as soon as ideas come to my mind i will jot them down, even if I do not end up using them. As soon as I get ideas i role with it, even if I have to go back in the end and change everything. Rough drafts come next. I like to write them out first so i can scribble and make notes to myself and fill things in when i need to. I write in pen so sometimes by drafts can be more rough then they should be, but that is how i like it. After my essay is all finished I proofread, many many times.

Revision part of the outcome is that I write out all my essays for the class then revision of my essays at the end. The one essay that I revision was the concept essay because I wrote it out first for rough draft then I look through and look for any little items in my essay that I can change. Then we also did some peer editing in class with some classmates that also contribute to the revision of the concept essay.
My first step in the writing process has remained relatively the same. I begin by reading the assignment sheet, and then begin brainstorming topics that I could use for the essay. Usually I come up with two or three ideas for me to explore, in case one topic does not have enough information to turn into a good paper. After thinking of a few ideas, I pick one idea that I think is the best, and I try to come up with a basic outline of the paper. Then, I search on Google and read a few articles that I find to see what information is available on the topic and how I can use the information in my paper. It is at this point where I decide whether or not to go ahead with the topic depending on what I find. If I continue on, I widen my search to databases and focus on more credible internet
In INRW I have learned how to analyze an essay, write an essay, and revise an essay. When someone analyzes an essay, they should understand the objective of the essay. They will need to present some type of argument and have supporting evidence. It is always helpful to make an outline before you start writing your essay. One big idea or essential question I focused on was writing an objective summary. Objective means non-biased. In other words, you want to tell the story like it is, without adding your own opinions. And a summary is just a shortened retelling of the important parts of the story. Essay development- The parts of writing an essay are prewriting, outlining, drafting, editing, revision, and final drafting.
Initially, a writer should do an outline before starting any essay. An outline can help to organize his or her main points in order to build an introduction, body and conclusion. This method of pre writing was something that I had never been exposed to prior to receiving an example outline from Professor Vilceus. By studying the example, I went from zero knowledge about an outline to creating ones that made arranging essay material uncomplicated.
Ever since I was young, English has always been one my least favorite subjects throughout school because I did not enjoying writing. Writing always frustrated me because it seemed so time consuming. But as I grew older I came to the realization that writing papers are not as hard as we set it out to be. If you formulate a method to how you will complete the paper, and follow through with it, it makes the entire process so much easier. For example, for all the students who procrastinate with their assignments until the day before it is due. Think about all the time and effort you have to put fourth to complete an entire paper in one day. Imagine how much less effort it would take to simply start working on the assignment at least four days before the required due date. You would only have to spend an hour or two a day to complete the entire essay. All you have to do is develop a plan as to what you want to accomplish each day and a writing strategy to following while writing. Throughout my English courses I have assembled my own writing strategies, and the first step to writing a good essay is pre-writing.
Writing used to be one of my strengths, but throughout my coursework in this semester, it was challenging to take the first step to approach my first draft. I was always taken a long time to think about the thesis and introduction because I personally felt both were very important for the entire essay in order to attract readers. Merely, I could not make my thesis clear and good as always. Therefore, I would get some inspiration from my friends or tutors, or watched drama and news; this would be my first step to write a first draft. Unlike in High School, we have assigned at least 1200 words essay, and greatly opened my mind to develop a deeper understanding of each topic. For my writing habit, when I first look at the topic, I would think about what professor taught us in class or search some websites for stimulating more inspiration. Especially working on critical response essay or opinion essay, these two types of essays were required to write an argument and to be more thoughtful. It is difficult to identity some controversy topics in my knowledge as an English learner. Although I have always been a thinker and I
