University Honors Day Convocation
Honors Day is very important for students and the educational institutions. I attend the University Honors Day Convocation on April 27, 2016 which was organized at TSU stadium. Students of the entire major received the booklist and name of each student was mentioned on booklist. All the students received their certificate and were back to their seats in well displaced and organized way. There was a warm welcome for President of Texas southern University, College Deans and other staffs. After that, three speeches were made about TUS’s achievements in different fields. During these
The Honors College at ECU should admit an exceptional students such as myself because I consider my education to be the paramount element for my success in the near future. Although I am a student athlete I never forsake my education for my sport, track, because I know that my sport will only take me as far as a scholarship to ECU but won't be of much help after that. As I consider my education above my sport, I tutor my team mates in math because that's what they have a hard time understanding. Not only do I tutor but my teammates and I also volunteer around the community by raking leaves and shoveling snow during the fall and winter which helps us out if they would like to support the team with a donation. I like to hold myself to a higher
I am deeply honored to be among the exemplary students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. I must admit this is what I’ve been looking forward to since the start of my high school career. This organization is not only known for the student’s high gpas but the willing to set an example for others. Joining this prestigious society will present countless opportunities for me and allow me to grow as a person and do as much as I can for my fellow peers and community. I believe that leadership and character best complement each other because the scratch surface of a true leader, or look behind his or her her personality, you’ll find a good character. While scholarship and service complement each other because you must do your
I’m so honored, to be eligible for National Honor Society. Ever since my dad told about N.H.S. back in 8th grade, that became my goal. My dad told me that to be in it you need to be an excellent student but, also help others. In my middle school years, I participated in Boy Scouts. But, due to sports and having a job, I had leave. But, a big requirement for them was to be apart in the community. Making you have to volunteer, participate in the different things, helping others,Boy Scouts made it fun. I’ve been lucky to have been apart of it leaving me with much knowledge that I can use everyday.
Organizations such as the National Honors Society have more than just one single objective for students to accomplish. The main goals of a group like this one offer many purposes designed to benefit students’ futures and prepare them not only for their academic life, but their social life as well. This organization provides students with the opportunity to widen their social circle and allows them to meet others who share the same aspirations they hold. Not only that, but with the recognition of academic achievements given through this group, it encourages students to keep thriving in their studies and motivates them to go above and beyond the average standards. Lastly, it also inspires students to improve their leadership skills and to
Good evening! My name is Isabella Smith and I am applying to National Honor Society for the upcoming year. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to join this club as it is a wonderful way for me to make a difference in the community. Honors College Essay: In its mission statement, the UIC Honors College is described as a community of scholars whose goal is to enrich the education experience of undergraduates and allow the faculty and students of all disciplines to interact in teaching, learning and research. Please tell us “How can you contribute to the Honors College community?” What benefits do you expect in return? (400-500 words)
Some of the reasons I believe I should be selected for induction into the National Honor Society are, I am a hard and experienced worker, I am a very open minded and accepting person, and I have a lot of motivation to do well in whatever I put my mind to. Many of these traits I possess, I believe, allow me to react to situations in positive ways. To start, I am a hard and experienced worker, over the past few years I have volunteering in the Downtown Los Angeles area and rural parts of Jamaica. In both of these places I have assisted people who are unable to obtain proper medical care or improper or subpar sheltering. I have gone to schools and helped hand out toiletries and school supplies to kids who are not fortunate enough to have these
The National Honors Society boasts of members with significant academic accomplishments, selfless hours of community service, and strong leadership capabilities as a representative of the school’s excellence. Becoming a member of the National Honors Society is a prestigious honor. As a student, I strive for excellence in my academics and have made the honor roll every quarter, showing my aim and dedication to reaching my highest potential. I try not to compete with other students, but with myself. My academics are the result of my hard work, and my dedication towards grades correlates to the dedication I have towards becoming a leader and a role model for the community.
First of all, I would like to thank you for taking me into consideration as a nominee for the National Honor Society of Coolidge High School

Over the last two years of my High School education, I found the extracurricular activities I fit in the most. I am part of Student Council, National Honor Society and a member of the tennis team. They all have molded me to be the best. However, I feel like tennis has impacted me the most. It’s a sport that has taught me so much, from being physically fit, to mentally prepared for any outcome. I learned that a game it’s not about winning or losing, but about how it’s played, and what it took to get there. Being in a team is about contributing others, and learning from them. It’s about accepting that we all make mistakes, and only practice can reduce the times we make them. So many loses and few victories, but I always preferred to sheer my

National Honors Society’s four pillars are imperative in a member. First there is character, which focuses on your mannerisms and actions.
