In an attempt to monitor the continuation of the Valley Scholars programmatic duties, we intend to ensure that all planned activities are in place. The logic model below serves as a basis for evaluating implementation of the program. As seen in the model, there are several factors that contribute to the success of the Valley Scholars program. Based on program development, the Valley Scholars program is a program of James Madison University(JMU); therefore, program related updates are to reported to the university to ensure proper program success.
While several aspects of the program can be evaluated, given the newness of the program, many outcome shave not been evaluated. Additionally, some outcomes have yet to actually occur. Nonetheless,

These instruments are planned to be used to measure outcomes of interest to the program staff as well as JMU and potential program funders. Surveys will be used to collect quantitative and qualitative information as a means of collecting disaggregated data. These surveys will also inform the program staff of potential program successes, of or relating to program participant grades, as well as enrollment into honors/AP classes. Of the surveys used, program participants, and school partners will be surveyed to obtain information on future, post-program, college acceptance as well as current grades. Due to the fact that survey administration will take place in the future, questions have not been created; therefore, the structure of the survey has not been determined.
Valley Scholars program staff will oversee all aspects of monitoring and evaluation for the actual program. For the most part, VS staff will spearhead all aspects of the program. The staff will develop instruments used, as well as aggregate and analyze data gathered from both program participants and patterning schools. Of the data collected and analyzed, the staff will report relevant outcomes to JMU and potential program funders, while ensuring that the necessary programmatic enhancements are implemented.
All in all, the logic model below serves as a way to visually display what the Valley
I desire acceptance into Virginia Space Coast Scholars (VSCS) Program to expand my knowledge horizons, and to take advantage of this learning opportunity. As a VSCS participant, I would gain experience in significant fields of study affecting the world in which we live. In junction with the great prestige of this program it would help me in my application for college, and it will enrich my overall education. I believe that I will be successful given that I have the am a fast learner. My core strengths academically, are Math and Science without a doubt. Technology has become more integrated in the lives of society. These are all reasons why a student such as I would find it necessary to be adept with these instruments of the digital age. I present myself as a strong candidate due to the fact that I would be motivated and excel as hands-on, kinesthetic learning teaches with exceptional results.
The major challenge was to get the survey done by students who are enrolled in different courses so that we can get general opinion of almost all students. It was hard to get the survey done from all programs students, but still we managed to get opinion of students from other courses.
Houser (2015) outlined the importance of program evaluation research in giving stakeholders clear and concise data regarding treatment efficacy to justify continued authorizations. Furthermore, MAT programs are funded in part or wholly by governmental agencies, which would also be interested in the evaluation findings of the research. If the results were bad, their funding my switch to another provider, leaving a population without services.
The current partners of this program are Northern Virginia Community College, Maricopa Community College, Bunker Hill Community college, Houston Community College, City College of San Francisco, and College of
This document details each academic division within the school (at this point the school had not received university status) and each program within the division including outcomes of each, the governance of the unit, the faculty and their credentials, and the courses that comprise each program (Academic Profiles, 2012). The other attachment to the comprehensive report is the Chapter Two Appendices
As mentioned above, the main function of Valley Scholars is its programming geared toward college preparatory and academic success for students involved in the program. Due to the nature of the program, different aspects of the program rely on community efforts. More specifically, there are many community partners and sponsors that contribute to the success of the program.
The mission of the National Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization is to “provide opportunities for individual growth, leadership and career preparation” (PAS, About PAS). What started out as a small organization, a little over 30 years ago, has now blossomed into something much bigger. As the new Executive Director of PAS, my goals are to continue to fulfill the mission while also making improvements to the organization. I believe there is still a lot of potential for the organization to yet be fulfilled.
In order to implement a program evaluation to determine client gains, there will be a team consisting of myself as the lead consultant, 3-4 program evaluation support staff members who will assist in the evaluation process and one staff member from the center being included to provide relevant center information. Key staff from the center will be asked to form an advisory group where all evaluation measures, outcomes and processes will be discussed, approved and presented.
As a charter member of the Jefferson Scholars Foundation Shadwell Society, I am committed to encouraging reinvestment into the University of Virginia. Founded in 2012, the Shadwell Society’s mission is “to engage alumni and friends of the University and to provide support, meaningful service, and future leadership to the Jefferson Scholars Foundation.” Members serve a five- year term and pledge $2,000 per year. I have served and continue to serve the society in many capacities. As a founding member I helped shape the early mission of the foundation, as co-chair of the membership committee I oversaw the growth of the group from 14 members to 75 members, and in the Fall of 2016 when I start my two-year term as the Society’s co-chair I will
A program evaluation offers a way to determine if adjustments are needed to improve upon the project in order for it to remain successful. Furthermore, the project evaluation team will analyze and measure each component of the outcome, input, and process in order to clarify the program’s objectives and goals. Thus creating a framework of evaluation methods and questions in addition to setting up a timeline for the evaluation activities will assist in the evaluation (CDC, 2011; HRSA, n.d.; McGonigle & Mastrian, 2015). The goal of outcome measures is to describe the overall performance of the process; therefore, outcome measurement will determine the program cost-effectiveness, attribution, and efficiency (CDC, 2012; HRSA, n.d.; McGonigle & Mastrian, 2015). There will be additional evaluation concerning the input measures, which are the resources that were put into the process. Lastly, the appraisal of process measures will provide data regarding the performance each course of action involved in the implantation of the project (HRSA, n.d.). After a thorough evaluation of the project, recommendations and the dissemination of results will be prepared and
Finally, just an idea – is everyone willing to have this program be submitted for innovation grant? As this is tied up to the institution not the person submitting, I recommend that the program be tied to VISN 8 rather than any specific VAMC. I can ask Victoria of who will be the specific POC and we can include this in the meeting agenda.
The Cycle 9 Program Coordinator will maintain regular communication with site coordinators and district administration through weekly email updates, conference calls, monthly project meetings, and scheduled site visits at each campus. Monthly project meetings will serve as an opportunity for the Program Coordinator to share TEA updates, address any campus concerns, and share best practices on program implementation. The Program Coordinator will also provide ongoing technical assistance throughout the grant. CASE will require staff at each Cycle 9 campus to attend at least two professional development workshops per semester to learn about best practices in the field. In addition, the Program Coordinator will closely monitor the activities’ set-up and schedule in TX21st to ensure that submitted site schedules mirror actual programming observed during site visits. The Data Compliance Clerk will provide a thorough TX21st training to all site coordinators and monitor TX21st to ensure timely and accurate data are entered into the database system, and to conduct data analysis to identify any discrepancies. The Family Engagement Specialist will work directly with sites and specifically monitor campus’ parental involvement activities, as well as the number of adult participants
Outcome evaluations cannot prove that the changes measured in client outcomes are due to the program alone
The Academic Program Councils for each college oversee the design and development of all University of Phoenix curricula. Council members include full-time and practitioner faculty members who have extensive experience in this discipline. Teams of full-time and practitioner faculty content experts are assembled under the direction of these Councils to create specific courses within the academic program.
The evaluation also used a pre and post survey design. The survey was created through conversations with program leaders to find out the key intervention targets. This survey was used to gain an understanding of the impacts that the NYSP program had on student skill and behaviors and allowed researchers to determine areas of programmatic strength and weakness.
