Team work skills involve the ability to work and cooperate with people from various social and cultural backgrounds so as to achieve a common goal. Networking with other teachers (even virtually) and solving problems together will only lead to success. Doing so fosters a sense of community not only in your own classroom, but school-wide as well.

Teaching is a lifelong learning process. There is always something to learn when you are teacher. Teaching is an extremely important profession as we are responsible for training up the future generations of our community, country and in effect, the world. In order to be a successful and effective teacher there are some basic skills and competencies that one must possess. They know what needs to get done and when it needs to be done. They understand that they are the only one that can decide their academic future.
One important factor to consider is establishing the education foundation as early as possible. Due to life circumstances, younger employees are more likely to receive more professional training then their older counterparts. More of them are single and therefore have fewer familial commitments. They simply have more time to complete the training. Additionally, many younger adults have a stronger educational background from the start. As a general rule, the more education one begins with, the more likely more education is to be granted in the form of formal learning. Another way that age is a factor is because older adults often do not feel that there will be much benefit in additional education. Employers may have similar thoughts. An employer stands to gain much more in return for their investment in a younger employee. Seniority also comes into play when an organization is deciding where to spend valuable training dollars. The higher the position in the company, the more likely one is to be offered training opportunities. (Learning for life, 2009).
In the practice of teaching, it is the responsibility of a teacher not only to teach students subject matter, but to teach students in order to enable them to grow and develop as a person. While it is essential for students to have an understanding of academic material, it is also equally as important that when students finish their education they have skills to use in
Students are placed in the responsibility of their own learning and understanding while the teachers encourage students to be more independent and more exploratory. The teachers will foster a sense of autonomy in the learning process as they act as a source of experiences. In addition, as the students watch their teacher makes mistakes, they will learn those failures are part of the learning process. The students will soon realize that mistakes are natural in life and it will serve as stepping stones to

Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is not a skill that can be memorized or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an energized classroom, and will be reenergized themselves.
As a teacher, one’s role and responsibility should be towards the learners’ ability to learn and for learning to be as tailored made for the individual learner.
Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over and over again the best way to teach to learn and how to make students to extend what has been learned. The many hours spend in the classroom will never be enough to plan lessons, prepare materials, review pupils tasks and exams, as well, all the administrative requirements one has to cover for whatever institution we work. Besides all this a good teacher, a professional one, will have to find the time to keep preparing to improve
