What are you? How do you exist?
I am convinced I am the product of a/the Creator. As a human being, I am the highest form of earthly life, made in the image of that Creator, God. It says in the bible that he formed man out of dust from the ground, blew into his nostrils the breath of life, “and the man came to be a living soul.” (Ge 2:7; 1Co 15:45)
What is the purpose of life?
I believe our intelligence, conscience and ability to reason imply the Creator had a reason or purpose in creating mankind. So then logically we can only find our true purpose by living in harmony with the Creator’s purpose. The Bible teaches that God had a specific purpose for man and woman when he created them.
Genesis 1:28. “Be fruitful and become many and

It says: "So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him... On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time.” I believe there is evil. Evil, though, does not always mean wrongdoing .The definition of evil is of a wide range. God brought calamity or evil upon Adam and his offspring. But God is not to blame, he did so as a penalty for Adam 's disobedience. As for pain and suffering in the world, God permits it but is not the one causing it. 1 John 5:19 says "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." I believe that in Genesis, when the wicked one, Satan approached Eve, he actually challenged the rightfulness and righteousness of God 's sovereignty. To illustrate: Imagine a teacher is explaining how to solve a math problem when he is interrupted by a student; implying that the teacher is not capable, the rebellious student tells the class that he himself is right. Some students believe him and become rebellious. What should the teacher do? If he throws the rebels out of class the remaining students may wonder if the teacher really is wrong, loosing respect for the teacher. I believe God by
The Bible tells us that man was newborns, children, and adults are all here by the grace of God. Yes, as humans we add meaning and purpose to our life. However, our main purpose from day one is to worship him. (126)
Colossians 1:16 tells us that all of creation was made through Jesus and by Jesus.
Since I hold a strong conviction in the one Triune God, I believe God created the entire universe for himself. When I look at the world, I see nothing but God’s beauty; His hand print on things that happen. However, I believe in an evil force that is at work in our universe and the leader of that force is Satan himself. Because he convinced Eve to eat the fruit from the tree of life that God did not permit them to eat, sin entered the world, thus the reason why we have thunderstorms, earthquakes, tornadoes etc… I do not believe everything that happens in the universe is an act of God. I believe Satan causes storms and disasters to happen as well. There is a good and evil at work in our universe because of sin, not because God wanted it that way.
Before starting the course my view of evil was sculpted by my religious back ground. I was taught that evil is an effect from the fall of man. With becoming older and reading the Bible more, I have concluded that evil or “Sin” was that was conjured up by the fall of Lucifer. Men or “Human” became victim to sin with the fall of Adam. The reference to the world Biblically is not referring to Earth but the systems that that is a product of evil. The bible teaches that the world belongs to Satan which is an effort to disconnect us from God.
I believe the existences of the human nature is to exist, fulfil the purpose of the ultimate reality, which is God by multiplying the universe for the time being and maintaining all these purposes with the knowledge available to determine what is right or wrong. The knowledge acquired will help to determine the conviction of the use of ethics on what they believe on because, it is through the ethics in determining their faith, that will result in what the afterlife will look like at the end, when they have completed their purposes of the existence to the universe as the will of God which was the purpose of their existence on the universe. When one realizes his purpose in the universe, through the knowledge of God and understanding of the universe, it becomes possible and easy for the individual to fulfil his purpose of worship and obeying the ultimate reality as the purpose in life towards the fulfilment of the ultimate reality
In (Genesis 1:26-27 KJV.) We learn that all humanity was created in the image of God. Just like Adam and Eve we too are commanded to take care of the earth and create life. While human responsibility was made clear all humanity was susceptible to sin. To summarize Lecture 2. (2015), humanity’s purpose from the beginning of time has been to do good continually, learn wisdom be fearing the Lord and follow His example in deed and in thought.
it. We have a purpose for our lives. By God creating man and woman in the Garden of Eden
The purpose of man is to praise and worship God, proclaim his glory, and to accomplish his will."… And whom I have created for My glory, …” (Isaiah 43:7 New International Version). God created all things in harmony. He established a perfect creation that he loves and over which he rules. The highest honor is given to mankind as the only part of creation made in God’s image. Humanity was created to love as God loves, to worship and praise his glory and commune with him as he does with us.
I believe that human being’s all have an underlining purpose in life and it is within their nature to realize their potential and fulfill their goals. Human beings are driven to seek wholeness in their lives and that will always be a continuing journey for most humans. Humans adapt to life’s changes as they encounter various challenges. How one handles those various situations; will directly affect their behavior and personality. I believe humans are capable of dictating the outcome of their destiny.
How we view the presence of God and evil depends on why we believe the world was created. If man is a fully created creature then the world was created for him to live in, a comfortable, pleasant place. Our world is obviously filled with suffering, danger, hardship of all kinds, so an all-powerful God could not have created it. To Christians the world is not a paradise where one can experience the maximum of pleasure and a minimum of pain. The world is a place of “soul making” or person making. As we try and understand the challenges of our lives, and our environment we may become “Children Of God”.
The carefully placed line breaks in the phrase "Behold, instead / Of us outcast, exiled, his new delight, / Mankind created," (4.105-7) suggest that not only does mankind please God, but the fall of Satan and his followers also pleases Him. Also, it is natural for Satan to turn his eyes to Adam and Eve. Satan believes this to be a devious plot devised by him, but in fact it is what God has in mind, as the fall was necessary in order to have Jesus descend later to offer mankind salvation. Satan's conclusion that evil will be his good (4.110) also is in God's plan, and is not a result of Satan's choosing; it is the only course of action he is presented that suits his personality.
Why are we here? What is our purpose? If man is looking for a purpose, then is he saying
I believe we exist for one purpose. That purpose is to worship and reflect our Heavenly Father. He has given His instructions to us in the Bible. The Bible tells of how we are to administer the church, how we are to worship in the church and who is to have roles in the church.
The world is full of so many conflicting opinions. Of what is good- and more importantly- what is evil. Christians believe evil is an entity that poisons the minds of the mortal. More commonly known as “The devil”. A lot of people believe evil is not an entity but something
What is the cause of my existence and that of everyone else? Simply put, God is the cause of all that exists. Genesis 1:1 (ESV) is one of the more known verses in the Bible, saying “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Specifically, everything was created through the second person of the Trinity, Jesus. John 1:3 (ESV) says “All things were made through him [Jesus], and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
