What is the role of the cultural pattern in a society? How these affect the consumption? Culture is described as the symbols that individuals, groups and societies use to make decision of daily life and to assure their values. Culture is a model of basic assumptions invented, discovered or developed by a given organization as it learns to cope with its problems of external adaption and internal combination, which has worked well enough to think correctly and, so to instruct to new comers as the valid way to observe, consider and feel in relation to these problems. Culture consists of manner, mind-set, values, rituals, religious belief, law (written and unwritten), arts, ideas, custom, belief, ceremonies, social institutions, myths and legends, individual identity and behavior. Cultural pattern classifies are used to describe the dominant beliefs and values. Culture has been called the way of life for an entire society. It is a group or community living together and sharing a set of norms. Culture and society are coexistent. One does not or cannot exist without the other. Culture and society may have some common elements but the two are not the same; they are not identical. In society, culture consists of the shared symbols and their definitions that people create to solve real-life problems. Culture define in many words. For example, particular patterns of behavior, the symbol, language, and way the people things, etc. My main point is symbol. Symbol is concert objet or abstract term. In another word, the meaning of the symbol is something that represent something.
Culture is one of the most relevant elements that can define not only a society but also a country’s cumulative beliefs and system. Often noted as the origins of a country, culture is definitive in the sense that it harbors all the elements that can provide justification on the traditions and norms set by the society for its members. More often than not, the society members follow norms in order to create a harmonious community, and the beliefs and the traditions serve as the poles or grounding rules for each member to follow. Culture is very dynamic in the way that it can change over a variety of foreign influences but what is permanent about it is that original elements about it often lingers with the influences, therefore making it multi-faceted and broad. More importantly, culture serves as an individual and unique trait each society has, and therefore sets it apart from other countries and other societies.
Culture: Culture refers to values, languages, symbols, norms, beliefs, expectations that members of a group possess and the good things they produce and use in their life. Culture is the thing that all the members of a group or society follow.
Culture refers to socially shared and transmitted patterns of ideas (values, norms, and beliefs) that are instantiated in everyday practices, institutions, and artifacts (Tsai, Levenson, & McCoy, 2006). Culture may play an important role in emotional regulation and expression. Of particular interest is the interplay between collectivistic and individualistic societies and social expectations and customs.
Culture a set of shared values that a group of people hold. These values affect how you think, act and most importantly the basis on which you judge others. These behaviors can be viewed as normal and right or strange or wrong. Keep in mind though that we are all individuals and that no two people belonging to the same culture
Culture is defined as “the values, beliefs, behaviour and material objects that together form a people way of life. Culture consists of many societal aspects like language, customs, values, norms, morals, rules, tools, technologies, products, organizations, and institutions.” (Cliffs notes) Through culture, the people or groups of people define themselves, they form a social personality that develops in conformity to the shared values of a specific society and contribute to that society later on. Institution, as cultural element, refers to a set of rules and cultural meanings connected with specific social activities.
People can search online for the definition of culture, they will find many definitions of the word culture. Accordingly to Culture (n.d.), culture is the behaviors and beliefs characteristic of a particular social, ethnic, or age group. Another definition is the over-all ways of living built up by a group of individual and learned from each generation to generation(culture, n.d.). It is easy to conclude that culture is, in fact, a very broad word, which may cover a wide range of definition. Also, culture embraces the world. It is such a unique experience that one can hardly mistake culture, may refer to culture, vaguely knowing what culture is and also, being right with this interpretation. The term consumer behavior is defined as the behavior that consumers display in searching for purchasing, using, evaluating & disposing of products & services that they expect will satisfy their needs. Consumer behavior focuses on how individuals make decisions to spend their available resources (time, money, effort) on consumption related items. That includes what they buy, why they buy it, when they buy it, where they buy it, how often they buy it, how often they use it, how they evaluate it after the purchase and impact of such evaluation on future purchases & disposal.

Culture is the overall view of shared products between human society. When we live in a given society we are taught things in ways that other people learn them in different societies. One being cultural encounters, cultural encounters are interactions between two or more people who work according to different social norms. Typically, cultural encounter refers to conflicting values; of encounter shaped by assumptions of cultural and racial superiority; and of violent confrontation.
Thus, the terms culture and society are somewhat interchangeable. Characteristics of culture: Culture is narrow. It prescribes that kinds of behavior considered acceptable in the society. The prescriptive characteristic of culture simplifies a consumer's decision-making process by limiting product choices to those, which are socially acceptable. These same characteristics create problems for those products not in tune with the consumer's cultural beliefs. Culture is socially shared. Culture cannot exist by itself. Members of a society must share it. Thus acting to reinforce culture's perspective nature. Culture is learned. Culture is not inherited genetically; it must be learned and acquired. Socialization or enculturation occurs when a person absorbs or learns the culture in which he or she is raised. Culture facilitates communication. One useful function provided by culture is to facilitate communication. Culture usually imposes common habits of though and feeling among people. Thus, within a given group culture makes it easier for people to communicate with one another. But culture may also block communication across groups because of a lack of shared common culture values. This is one reason why a standardized advertisement may have difficulty communicating with consumers in foreign countries. How marketing efforts interact with a culture determines the success or failure of a
