People have different representations of the question “Who Am I?” When different persons were to be asked, you would be able to find out that there are many ways to answer the question because all of us have our own unique way to answer it. For me, I have already written several reflection papers to answer the question “Who am I?” but I still find it difficult to answer the question. Looking back at my past reflection papers, I noticed that my reflection to the same question has changed over time. It varies depending on what subject and experiences I had during that time. This time, I will start with the superficial way up to the deeper way of reflecting who I really am.
Thinking about who I am, the first thing that comes to my mind is like the answer when somebody asks me, “Who are you?” I would quickly think of my name and other information about me that need only a short time to think about and later on it will be the facts about myself and the experiences I had. So, I am Katrina G. Garcia, nineteen years old. I am currently taking up BS Psychology in Miriam College. I have two older siblings; I am the youngest in the family. I was born and raised in Marikina City but my family and I are currently residing at Antipolo City. I belong to a complete family of five but I could say that we are different from other families. We’ve experienced a lot of challenging situations. I can recall that when I was young, we used to live in a compound together with the relatives of my father. It was a small house and we can hear everything that is happening on the other side of the walls and from around the area. It was an unhealthy

For me, looking back at it was the beginning of my reflection about who I am. However, I have also learned the disciplines of the Philosophical Enterprise from my Philosophy class which could help me to really know more about my
Who am I? This question asked so often suggests that there is actually a reasonable answer. Almost as if our own personal being were a fixed thing. Generally, people who ask this type of question are usually struggling with their identity and thus are looking for something to make sense of themselves. The irony is that the more you seek to identify who you are, the more you are exposed to being fragile. Some people spend their live looking for an answer that could possibly satisfy them but still never find anything. The main focus shouldn't be on discovering who you are but on considering the social influences that have affected you.
On September 6, 2017, I were documented for an incident that involved a University Housing policy violation. I was charged with violating the University Housing Alcohol 1.2 policy. With my violation, came consequences. I met with The Residence Conduct Coordinator to discuss my actions and came to the conclusion that I would have to schedule a meeting with The Campus Alcohol and Drug Education Center (CADEC) and with that, a reflection paper.
What makes a person their own individual is a question that can be deeply contemplated. The reached conclusion is generally a combination of the person’s experiences, thoughts, feelings, and goals. Even though this may seem like a simple answer to this inquiry the solution to a person’s individuality is much more complicated. When asked to attempt to explain who I am on a piece of paper it required some inward thought. In order to best describe myself, I will attempt to highlight some important experiences, my thoughts and feelings throughout aforementioned experiences, and my overall goals in life.
Who am I?, is a question asked by many people. Out of all the samples I feel that sample two was the best one. The reason “Searching for myself” is better is because it tells us the truth. Sample two explains that we are all still trying to find out who we really are. We don't know who or what we will be in the future and sometimes when you think you found yourself it manages to change in a blink of the eye. The writer of “Searching for myself” uses metaphors and examples to explain how they continue to change. “Searching for myself” explains everything clearly and it leaves the reader to think about who they

I’m not sure I’ve ever really asked myself who I was because it has always felt as if that was a question best left for my later years, when I could reflect on everything I have done. Looking back at my life now in review, I can see the foundation of the question but not the detail of every single brick layered upon top of it. This foundation is made upon soil seeped with sweat and tears of my struggles and built with the
In this paper I plan to briefly review what happened during the counseling demonstration. Next, I will discuss two basic counseling skills that I believe I used well, and one that I struggled with. Finally, I will discuss the next steps I will take in order to improve my counseling skills.
When reflecting on who you are as a person, and discovering words that really paint a picture of who you are, it can be sort of difficult. It is sometimes strange looking inward on yourself and deciding who you really are and how people perceive you. I decided to do some thinking, a little soul searching and also asked my friends and family to help me out too. It was interesting and fun to hear what they had to say and it gave me a better sense on how people may perceive me.
Who am I? It’s just a three-word question, but the answer is not so simple. People are three-dimensional and complex. Each individual is unique, with their own set of physical traits, personality traits, life experiences, God-given talents, and vices. People are dynamic and these things can change with time. We like to put names to these things, like to stick people into categories. We like to put our best faces and acts on and hide the things were aren’t so proud of.
Who am I? How does this differ from how others view me? Identity is something that is so personal to each of us that no two individuals are the same. That is not to say however that we do not share common elements of our identity with others “the notion of identity hinges on an apparently paradoxical combination of sameness and difference. The root of the word identity is the Latin idem (same) from which we also get ‘identical’ “(Lawler, S. 2008:2). This highlights the idea that the basis of identity is that of sameness and difference which was also expressed by Zygmunt Bauman. This idea of sameness and differences
The question who am I is an interesting question because not only reflect one's own views, but it also reflects the way which society has viewed us. We are a reflection of our society and the zeitgeist of the times. Individuals at times might try to appropriate a different identity, but society often keeps them from categorizing oneself outside the perceived category. For example, Rachel Dolezal, who identifies differently from what others perceive her as. Even though race is socially constructed she is still perceived as a Caucasian woman trying to appreciate the African American culture. Although she believed herself to be a black society still views her as a Caucasian woman. Nevertheless, an individual may look at themselves in a specific
Over the course of the semester, I have been fortunate enough to work with a student who is having difficulties when it comes to reading. My student does not have difficulties when it comes to hearing a word, but rather when he sees a word. My student has definitely benefited from one on one work with me as well as the additional help he’s getting from the reading specialist during their WIN (what I need) time. My student does not like to read because he knows that he is struggling and he is embarrassed about it. When my student goes to his WIN time, he does really well because the instruction is at his level and there are only two other students who are also on the same level there as well. Besides the current intervention, programs I would recommend are Direct Instruction: Reading Mastery, Letter Spacing, Wilson Reading System and the Lindamood program (LiPS).
I am now approaching the conclusion of my college career and starting to adjust to work life. This is a period of self-reflection and an attempt to put everything I learned into perspective. During this period of my life, I have been constantly thinking and contemplating my future. I feel very anxious yet nervous during this time while I am adjusting to this new stage of my life. When I was in High school my life was very structured, because I could be very dependent on peoples help and I obviously still lived with my family. When I went to college, I had to break away from that feeling of dependency and start the adjusting to adulthood. In college there was more responsibility and I started to become more independent. This was a crucial step in my life but choosing a career is going to be an even bigger step. It is a bigger step because; I have to start structuring my career goals and family goal for the future. At this moment all I can think about is my career, and how I can I keep improving myself for work life.
Have you ever wondered what others may think of you or how you act with certain people? Within this paper , I’m going to explain how I see myself and how those around me see me as a person. This should be interesting in the sense that who I’ve asked to complete this with me are on two different spectrums of my life. I’ve asked someone who has known me since birth and someone who has known me for a short amount of time compared to the other. I’m going to expand on how my interpersonal communication skills are influenced by my personality traits.
Who am I? Who will I become? These are questions asked many times over as we constantly feel the need to define ourselves. Many people believe that a person can be defined as a collection of all his or her actions. However, this view is not entirely correct. It is not just our actions that define who we are or who we will become, but It is also our morals and values, the parenting that we received, our circumstance, our friends and family and society as a whole that has a great impact on who we are and as well as who we will become.
