Why I Would Be A Good Teaching Assistant

I have recently seen an advert on the website for the position of teaching assistant and I would like to apply with interest

I wanted to become a teacher because I enjoy serving others, and as a lawyer I have the gift of talking too much. Teaching is so rewarding and gives me a sense that I am making the world a better place one student at a time. I feel proud of my students that always remember me as their teacher, even when they are in college, they pass by the school to see me or if they meet me on the street or any other location, they approach me and show gratitude and that is priceless!

I want to teach because I think it's an important career where you have the opportunity to teach kids new things every day and you learn new things also. When asked why I want to be a graduate school teacher’s assistant (TA), my honest answer is the financial benefits. Being an out of state applicant, the financial responsibility is significantly higher. The University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee is my dream graduate school. The clinical opportunities, unique elective offerings, and welcoming staff are only a few reasons why I am so drawn to this program. Throughout my undergraduate career, I have worked tirelessly to get to where I am today with selecting a graduate school. After working so faithfully for the past 4 years, I do not want to let financial liability stand in my way of committing to my desired school. Being a TA will provide me with the financial backing needed to make my aspirations a reality.

Why is teaching an important profession to me? Life is about something, but what it is about for me it is the passing of knowledge that will make society move forward. Without the teacher, we would be in the dark, because, the light of someone teaching would not be. We would not advance as a society, on Medicare or agricultural advances.

Teachers have the power to change the world and to make a difference in the student's life. Teacher is a facilitator of knowledge, motivator, advisor and a positive person that can improve the student's education. I decided to pursue the career of education because I have the desire to help others. I also have the ambition to provide encouragement and support to the people that need it. Becoming a teacher means more than sharing my knowledge to the students. It is a commitment with society to shape the performance and learning of future generations.

I have always wanted to become a teacher. From playing school with my little sisters, to volunteering a summer camps and elementary schools, there is not better feeling, to me, than to know that I have helped someone to accomplish a goal and develop better as a person. I think that there is no better way to impact the lives of other people than to become a teacher. As a teacher, not only will be able to affect the lives of these students from day t day, but I can also make an impact on the life of each child and hopefully their family as well.

I am applying to be a teacher assistant for the 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Dickson. The reason I want to become a TA is because I think I would like to become a teacher. By watching and assisting the teacher this would allow me to have hands on experience. I think this experience would help me to decide if becoming a teacher would be a good fit for me.

There are many reasons why one would wish to enter the field of education. Education is one of the most fulfilling occupations that one can enter. A1. There are couple reasons why I want to be a teacher. To begin with, my mother is a teacher, working in North China Electric Power University, so since young I have learned a lot about universities and I have seen many benefits of being a teacher. For instance an university teacher would have a more flexible schedule as well as summer vacations thus they can spend more time on their topic to do research, also with their children, bringing them to see the world. Furthermore, school is a place that is idealized, without any darkness as in the actual society. This is the place where people can pursue their academics quietly. “Why do you want to be a teacher?” is one of the most common questions asked to a teacher. Some myths about teaching are teachers are heroes, the pay is bad, students are brats, and you cannot just leave your classroom to use the bathroom. Not everything you hear or see on television about teaching is true. There may be times where you want to pull your hair out due to student behavior or wish you made more money, but the job is not about that. Teaching is about loving children and wanting to educate them so they can in return help us in the future by being doctors, lawyers, etc... Therefore, teachers get the wrong impression, because they are either looked at as being the hero in someone's life or not knowing anything about their job.
