I gathered information from patients taking a newly developed drug, then recorded and reported the data. Unfortunately the position was short lived (a six month temporary position), but long enough to leave a lasting impression on me. However, life had other plans, and as a military wife, we moved every two to three years, sometimes sooner, making it almost impossible to finish a traditional college without having to transfer. This is when I got to experience firsthand the process of how colleges accept and do not accept credits. My solution was quite simple in my young naive mind- finish online, that way I could get a degree. However, I was then presented with many other obstacles, such as not being able to stay static in a job, or have the chance to move up the corporate ladder. I had to find a position that I would love, but could move with me, and the only solution would be a position as a contractor and online. I currently evaluate post-secondary schools with healthcare programs to make sure the school is in compliance with
My purpose for attending college again is to enhance my opportunities within the field of education. I have been teaching high school level social science courses for over a decade, and I am ready to advance into administration. Having already attained the administrator endorsement on my teaching license, I believe it would be beneficial to have a degree in Business Administration to stand out in a pool of candidates. Running a school is not greatly dissimilar from running a business. If this helps me with my career goals, I will consider it to have been time well

There are several reasons why individuals go to college. Some reasons are worthwhile while some are not. Personally, I strongly believe that going to the college does not, in itself, guarantee success but it does in one way or the way help in achieving success. For me, one important reason I go to college is to acquire practical and theoretical knowledge. Acquiring knowledge seems to be my fundamental reason for me going to the college. I want to acquire as many knowledge as possible especially in the field of Accounting and Finance. I want to be academically inclined in the area of research and development in finance so as to meet global demand for financial solution to financial problems and challenges. Different companies, government, countries
One of the biggest questions children and teens ask themselves in America is what they want to do with their future. Among the choices they have is the decision whether to attend college. It’s a big decision. For children, it seems like an easy decision. “Of course! You need a degree to get a job.” As we get closer to graduating high school, we find out that it’s much more complex. There are other options to consider. College can be a risk. It’s expensive, and many students are advised against attending because of this. It could add very little to their career path, or it might be vital to their dream career. Each person must decide what value college has to their
There are multitudes of reasons why people choose to go to college. A college education gives these people means to gain information and skills that can be utilized for as long as they live. The degree obtained from a higher education institution solidifies the credibility of the individual in the society. Although the opportunity to further one’s education is available to all who seek it, it may not necessarily be for everyone. For those who decide that college is not an endeavor they wish to pursue, there are a number of professions in the job market that require much less formal schooling. In fact, the quality of one’s life does not precisely correspond with the pursuit of higher education. The American media, however, seems to think otherwise, often portraying college as a social necessity and imposing a taboo attitude towards the notion of not attending college. Although most people make the assumption that the main point of college is to secure the credentials essential to higher paying job positions, the real underlying purpose is for creative self-growth engendered from fulfillment potential
Many people choose not to attend college. I believe that not attending college is probably one of the most irresponsible decisions a person can make. When graduated making the decision to work at a dead end job forever or attend college, college is a pretty obvious choice. The reason I want to go to college is so I can have my dream job instead of a job I do not like, so I will never have to struggle as a result of skipping college and because I believe my college experience will have a tremendous impact on my life.
Summer is supposed to be a time of adventure and excitement, however, in the long run, it should be productive. Productive, in the sense that because this is our junior summer, as students we need to be more aware of what lays ahead of us. We need to be prepared for the new and rigorous task of learning the pros and cons of our future careers. For this reason, my summer may consist of two specific goals of both working and researching scholarships as well as colleges. These specific goals would hopefully allow me to pursue a more determined and well-prepared path to my next four years.
I have decided to attend college so I can further my education and constitute something out of myself when I become older also so my future will be brighter and guarantee a great chance in providing for myself. Another reason why I have chosen to attend college is because my parents has set a the bar that college is a must. Individuals with degrees have a higher chance at getting a job than someone who doesn’t have one. Many people who have chosen not to attend college consequently, a difficult time finding employment or obtaining a job with higher wages. My decision of Belmont Abbey was chosen as a result of its location being close to home also the fact that my father is an alumni of Belmont Abbey College therefore I feel that the experience
Education is the reason students attend college, but the reason people enjoy college is not usually the education they receive rather it is the once in a lifetime experience they have.
There are numberless reasons that I have for attending college. My first and uttermost important purpose, is setting a exceptional example for my son. As he grows older I want him to understand that education is key to success. futhermore; I would be delighted for him to recognize that persecerance pays off,and he is able do accomplish anything he puts his mind to. My second purpose is creating a foundation for financial success, and finer living. With a degree I will be more likely to receive higher paying jobs than without one. Therefore; being able to provide for my family and have a little fun. My last purpose is having something to be proud of by finishing what I started. My college journey began when I was 17 and immature. I wasn't studious
There are many reasons people attend college. Some people attend because they are expected to, either by their culture, their family or peer pressure. Other people have a desire to continue learning and want to go to college and still others do not know what they want to do with their life so they decide to attend college to explore their options. I choose to attend college right out of high school, but now 30 years later I am back. This time I am back in college because I work in an environment where I have been bullied to the point that I have no confidence in myself. I am back to prove something to myself.
I come from a family where most members did not attended college. Over the years I’ve seen how they’ve struggled to live comfortably and have a high paying job or at least an “average” paying job. I want to accomplish more for myself and prove to my family I can do it. I want my family to be proud of me and my future. I dream of having a good and comfortable future for me and my future husband. The only way to do that is going to college and getting educated. Knowing how important it is to be educated and have some type of degree and my parents, were the reasons I enrolled at Florida Southwestern State College. My parents are very supportive of my decision and they will definitely continue to be throughout my career. Even though they did not
For college I want to be able to branch out and get involved with as many activities that I can, I want to be able to make connections with people and have fun. I recently signed up for some new activities while at the activity fair and I hope to stick to them. In my time here I want to accomplish my academic goals as well as the goals I set for myself before I arrived. I want to experience college and not let it pass me by, you can’t gain these years back is the advice I have been getting a lot from family and upper classman here at Clarion. I want to spend my time focused on my schooling since this is finally the stuff I want to learn. But I also I want to spend time in activities here on campus, clubs and with new friends. I just want to
