Sitting: Affecting Health Sitting is taking part of life away. We sit down everyday; however, do we know how much it affects our health. According to Joe Leech in an article titled, “Why is sitting too bad for your Health,” he explains that, “people who sit for long periods of time are more likely to be overweight or obese.” Sitting down for a large amount of time can truly increase health problems. In particular, sitting down for over half the day can result in health issues(Leech). By this he means that since we are sitting down we are not being productive throughout the day.
