Chaminade University of Honolulu is a small, co-educational private school founded in 1955 by the Roman Catholic Society of Mary. Originally known as St. Louis Junior College, it became Chaminade College in 1957 when it transitioned to a four-year college, and Chaminade University in 1977 when it began offering graduate degrees. The school is named after Father William Joseph Chaminade, who survived the French Revolution and went on to establish the Society of Mary.

In today’s extremely competitive, job-scarce economy, having a college degree is now a steadfast requirement when applying to even entry-level professional jobs. Choosing a college has always been a challenging task for high school seniors, but it is now fraught with stress and anxiety for nearly every adult who seeks to further their education. In 2009, Centenary College in Shreveport, La, audaciously cut half of its 44 majors after the endowment dropped by 20 percent. Many can feel repercussions in many different ways. The most popular majors at Stony Brook University--SUNY include: Health Professions and Related Programs, Psychology, General, Biology/Biological Sciences, General, Business Administration and Management, General and Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. SUNY students become the cream of the crop in all the subjects listed above, obtaining internships at the top notch hospitals also working for corporations

The Leland Stanford Junior University was established in 1885 by California Senator Leland Stanford and his better half, Jane, in memory of their exclusive kid, Leland Jr., who passed on of typhoid fever at 15. After his 1884 passing, the Stanfords verified that they would utilize their riches to support "other people's" youngsters.

In April 1866, the Holston Presbytery assembled at the Old Pleasant Grove Church in Bristol, Tenn. to establish a Christian College (King University, 2015). It was built on land donated by Reverend James King, and in his honor, King University was founded (King University, 2015). King University’s establishment and history have led me to a greater appreciation for its systems and the University’s values. California State University San Bernardino, located in the foothills of San Bernardino Mountains, serves over 20,000 students annually. The university has the most diverse student population of any university in the Inland Empire, and its listed among the best colleges and universities in the western United States ( The Princeton Review, 2015).The nationally accredited university has more than 70 traditional programs offered to students, which include baccalaureate and master’s programs, and educational credential and certificate programs. The programs offer an environment where students are challenged in and out of the classroom in order to prepare students for a successful professional career.

The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences offers me a variety of opportunities and programs that I am unable to find anywhere else. First, the Early Selection Program allows me to have flexibility in my journey as a medical professional. Each student’s schedule in the program is tailored to a specific specialty and applicable track. In the program, I would get to explore not only the foundational medical courses, but also the courses that incorporate both clinical practice and community interaction early on. I would get to learn hands-on through the collaboration of my peers and work in an environment that looks at health through a cultural and evolving lens. From here, I will be able to get a solid impression of the care, communication, and approaches I want to implement as a future health care provider.

Which my Grandfather and Father both got their degree’s there. After that I didn’t feel as if that was enough for what I wanted to do in the world. I decided to do a theological study; I attended Crozer Theological Seminary for three years. After those three years I was chosen to be the President of the predominantly white senior class of CTS. In 1951 I was awarded the B.D., which was a great achievement for me. Since I was rewarded with a fellowship degree at CTS I decided to enroll at Boston University. University of Arizona is one of the greatest school not only in the state of Arizona but also in the whole US nation. There were so many magnificent people who graduated from this amazing University, and because of the magic of this college, some of them choose to live in this beautiful city after they graduated.
