If feeding efficiency and reproduction have a direct correlation, and a population started with equal proportions of individuals with each of three feeding types, metal spoon, metal knife, and plastic fork, the frequency of the population with metal spoons as their feeding structure will increase in the next generation. While the frequency of metal knifes and plastic forks will decrease. Furthermore, since the organisms with the metal spoon feeding structure have a higher fitness level, this population will evolve by natural selection to a point where the metal spoon phenotype will be in abundant. While the organisms with metal knifes and plastic forks phenotypes will decrease in frequency due to the lack of reproduction. Eventually, if this population persist overtime, most of the organisms, if not all, will have the metal spoon phenotype, while very few, if not any, will have the metal knife or the plastic fork phenotype.
This course provided me with invaluable insight into the way change works within a large hospital setting. While I love research, in my experience and true for this course, with any hands-on project you learn so much more than just investigating facts or submitting assignments. Honestly, at first I was intimidated about approaching the “higher-ups” in my organization; however, over-time approaching leaders and staff peers about the importance of my project became easier. My interest in the topic of blood culture (BC) contamination grew through the vast research completed for the assignments. Passion for the topic followed suite, as my knowledge increased for the subject at hand. I found the leaders of my healthcare organization to be extremely
Many people today consider Wise Blood to be one of history’s greatest examples of Southern gothic literature. With its twisted plot, scenes of self-mutilation, and overall dark tone it is easy to understand why people from all find Wise Blood to be dark and depressing. However, Flannery O’Connor, the novel’s author, claims that she wrote the novel to be a comedy, rather than a tragedy (O’Connor). The elements of the novel that O’Connor and others have considered especially “comedic” are its examples of surprise, mistaken identities, and especially, irony. Readers can find irony throughout the entirety of Wise Blood, as well as its theme of fate over free will. Irony ties in with this theme often through the characters’ actions, thoughts, and emotions.
Observation: no bugs were found except small, black, gnats were all close to the ground.

There are four blood types found in humans. These are A blood type which has the genotype either AA or AO, B blood type which has the genotype either BB or BO, AB blood type which has the genotype AB, and O blood type which has the genotype OO. These genotypes show a combination of complete dominance and codominance. A and B traits are dominant to the recessive O trait, however, the A trait is codominant to the B trait. Each blood type codes for certain antigens. A blood codes for the A surface antigen, B blood codes for the B surface antigen, AB blood codes for both the A and B surface antigen, and O blood does not code for a surface antigen. Therefore to determine one’s blood type a test can be performed
I learned that anaerobic is an organism or tissue that is living in the absence of air or oxygen while aerobic is involves the organism or tissue receiving and requiring air. Furthermore I learned about the anaerobic cellular respiration that uses an electron acceptor rather than oxygen to complete metabolism using electron transport-based chemiosmosis. Also in this reading I learned about fermentation which is an anaerobic process in which energy can be released from glucose even though oxygen is not available.
The purpose of this experiment is to identify the different blood types through the antigen and antibody reaction by using the anti- A, Anti- B and Anti- Rh serums we will be able to identify the different blood types. We will also discuss how this can be used in the clinical setting of this blood typing procedure, by doing so we will know how antigens and antibodies relate to the blood typing procedure in the real world settings.

The Journey of a red blood cell begins inside the bone, where the blood cell is made which is the bone marrow. The red blood cells travel around the body within capillaries. Then the deoxygenated red blood cell makes its way to the heart in the vena cava. After the blood cell has made its way through the heart the right atrium (the cell enters the right atrium first) contracts and pushes the blood cell through the tricuspid and into the right ventricle (the parts where the blood cell enters second which is located in the bottom right corner of the heart.) Next the right ventricle again contracts and pushes the blood cell out of the heart through the semi lunar (the section of the heart where the cell enters third). Then finally the deoxygenated
Blood chemistry or blood test is identifying the different levels of chemical ingredients found in the blood. The analysis of these substances provides clues to a patient’s condition and the functioning of the major body systems such as, blood sugar levels, liver functions, essential nutrients etc. This helps doctors in diagnosing the patient’s conditions much easier and quicker.
