The Industrial Revolution has many pros and cons. It was a stepping stone for places all over the world. This lead to a more advanced and drastically changed world. Many things that changed caused harm to the world and many people think that it was a mistake for it to happen. Well, other people think that it was the best thing to happen to the world. It lead people out of the past and into the future. Let's start by talk about good things first.

The Industrial Revolution changed many lives. It caused many new inventions that benefited the society. For example, Henry Ford created and affordable automobile. This invention helped people travel faster. The Revolution did have negatives to these solutions. Jobs changed and so did businesses as inventions began replacing them. There are many good things that came out of the Industrial Revolution but also some negatives.

Through the years technology and life in general has improved. The industrial Revolution allowed growth of the economy. This time period provided some positive things and some negative things. The struggles of one person was the advantage of another. Society improved, but people had to suffer its consequences. Labeling this revolution as negative or positive is difficult because there were many advantages. Yet it also had many disadvantages. People's health was impacted by industrialization, labor work was harsh, but because of the Industrial Revolution many people were finally able to get a job. The industrial revolution was a success during the 19th century. Many new things were made and manufactured. There were both positive and negative effects of the industrial revolution there were less people dying but still some which brought up the population which meant more jobs but the working conditions weren't great.

The Industrial Revolution was a very gloomy time period. There were many horrible things going on at this time. One major thing was child labor. Child labor was happening everywhere. Also the dangerous working conditions for the many workers and the long, tiring hours the people had to work in those harmful polluted factories.

There were a lot of great things that happened in the Industrial Revolution, and a lot of bad things too. Tons of immigrants came over from Europe and Asia for labor jobs. The production of steel, sewing machines, the telephone, and the light bulb were made during this time. People had to make these supplies fast because there was a demand for it all. Children, younger than 10 started to work for more than 12 hours a day and got paid less than their parents. They worked in unsafe conditions, also may have lose limbs, and their life. This was the beginning of the Industrial Age.

The Industrial Revolution established bad working conditions for their workers. As stated by Elizabeth Bentley, she "worked from five in the morning till nine at night. " People who worked at the factories had to work on the machines many hours at a time without many breaks. The mills were full of ash that was harmful to their bodies. According to Elizabeth Bentley, they were only paid "a penny an hour".

Workers had a six to seven day workweek of ten to fourteen hours each day. During this time of revolution industrialists broke up work in factories into series on simple tasks to increase efficiency and production, a downfall of this was that industrial work became less skilled, repetitive and boring. An example of this would be machinery jobs in a factory, job satisfaction for workers become very low considering the fact that they would have to repeat the same task for hours on end. Low wages were very low so low that workers could not afford requirements for food, shelter and clothing. Everyone in a worker's family would have to work to make ends meet even when women and children were paid low wages.

Some people considered the factory jobs a blessing while others considered it a hardship. The work day was long, conditions were unsanitary and food was sparse.
