What Blood Cells Does the Skeletal System Produce?

Answer – The skeletal system produces both, red blood cells and white blood cells as well as platelets.

Explanation:

Whilst the skeletal system is mainly composed of bones that are hollow, some bones are filled with a spongy tissue called bone marrow. This tissue is largely made up of stem cells.

These stem cells develop into various different kinds of cells, including those that give rise to red and white blood cells, and platelets, which are the chief components of blood. While the bone marrow is not the only source of these cells, it is their primary producer.
