Mass of water i.e solvent = 50.0 g = 0.050 Kg                                                  (since 1 Kg = 1000 g)

And depression in freezing point of solution = 5.04 oC

Assuming the mass of NaNO3 in the compound is y.

Hence mass of Mg(NO3)2 in the compound = 6.50 - y
