B:Minimal medium plus amino acids

C:Complete medium

D:All of the above

Expert Solution
Step 1

There are two different kind of bacteria. They are classified as prototroph and auxotroph based on their growth on minimal medium. When a bacterium is a mutant for a particular amino acid, it cannot able to produce that amino acid from itself and needs to be supplemented into the medium. Such bacteria are called as auxotroph. On the other hand, if the bacteria is able to produce every amino acid by itself then it can grow easily on medium without any supplementation. Such bacteria are called prototroph.
