Question

1. A photon has a frequency of 7.50 x 1014 Hz,

a) Determine the energy and the momentum of this photon.

b) If all the energy of this photon were to be converted to mass, determine the equivalent mass for the particle.

c) A microscopic specimen has a wavelength of 8.2×10−14? and a speed of 1.1×105?/?. Determine the mass of this microscopic specimen.

i) Determine the energy and the momentum of this photon.

ii) If all the energy of this photon were to be converted to mass, determine the equivalent mass for the particle.

Hello. I was confused as to why the mass in part b) would be different than the mass in part c) or part ii). Or why the energy and momentum in part a) would differ from that in part i). If you could solve this question and explain if and why these parts are different. Thanks.
