Explain and name the physico-chemical phenomena that can help astrophysicist know the chemical composition of parts of space?

To study about the chemical compositions present in the outer space, astronomers mainly use the spectroscopic technics to identify the various chemical components.

The different components have unique behavior towards the spectrum (absorption or emission) and are analyzed by the spectral lines for the respective components. 

These lines compared with the observed lines of the various chemical components analyzed before. By this way it is possible for the astronomers to explore the chemical composition ratios.
