I think i understand the difference between corelated/paired and independent tests as independt seems that a memeber for one category cannot also be a member of another category ie men and women. But i want to double check. For these should a correlated or independent sample t test be used? (a) Strength is measured at ages ten and twelve for the same twenty-one children. (b) At age five, the reading scores of fifty boys and fifty girls are compared. (c) Pretest and posttest IQ scores are compared for the treated group.

tested.

grade-equivalent scores in math for 100 special education
students.
