What is the difference between where the reactants come from in night time glyoclysis and the glycolysis that solved the food crisis.    The only difference in where the reactants come from, but the only difference I can think of is that the glucose from the glycolysis that solved the energy crisis is from the primodial soup, whereas, nightime glycolysis uses glucose from internal storage.    Is that the only difference?
