Question

What is the molar solubility of silver carbonate (Ag2CO3) in water? The solubility product constant for it is 8.1 * 10-12. While I understand the formula I am supposed to use to solve this problem, which is Ksp = [Ag]2 [CO3], I don't understand why it turns into Ksp= 2[x]2 [x]. Shouldn't it just be [x]2 [x] = Ksp ?
